Teens wanting to lose 25 to 35 lbs by Christmas

I'm 13 year old.  My starting weight is 160.  My current weight is 158 and I would like to lose between 25 and 35 pounds by Christmas.  My first goal is 135 and I'm going to decide on my final goal once I get there.  I'm almost 5'5".  I am a cheerleader and dance with a ballet company.

I'm looking for some friends to start a group with weigh-ins on Friday mornings.  This is a chance to talk about what's going on at school, how to eat healthy with bad school food, etc.

Anyone want to join me?

Actually, I want to lose about 20 pounds by New Years, same thing. :)

Sorry about not posting my weight either. I had given up for a while and I gained weight, so I am a little embarrassed.  But I now have new motivation.  Remember in my post before last I said I was trying to ask a girl out.  Well she is my new motivation.  She is very uplifting and supportive. 

aw that's sweet! my motivation is a boy too mostly.. and not being the slowest kid in gym class :P

Thank you.  It is nice to have someone close to rely on. Who does not judge. The way she has supported me the most is by getting me to run.  She can’t because of an injury but she has been urging me to get my time up.  I was so disappointed with my performance last year, I do not want to do that again.  So she is doing her best to keep me working on it. How does your boy help you?

I kind of disappeared off the face of the earth myself. Went on vacation two weeks, going again next week. Plus I've been too scared to jump up on the scale, I know I've gained this past month. Must get back on track with this, I'd really like to feel good about my body like I did 2 years ago or so.

well, he sorta pushes me to try harder and whenever i feel bad about myself (low self-esteem) he's always there to make me think positive. he doesn't judge me either.. it's a really weird relationship though.. can't exactly explain it lol

pengy- don't get too disappointed if you've gained.. i know how it feels to gain over vacation because you feel like you don't have to do anything, i mean, it IS a time to relax and take it easy. i always end up eating too much junk food when i go on vacation :/

Popgirl: my relationship with my girl is a little odd too.  But we all are different so it would make sense that no two relationships are the same.  But that is so cool that you have someone there for you.  

 

A little off topic but if you go back to my 2nd post you will see that it said I am working on my 1956 VW.  Well I am no longer. It is done.  I am so very happy with how it turned out. Anyway I will weigh in this week but I think I am still heavier than I was when I made my first post here.

I'm at 118.0; .5 less that August so at least I've been maintaining! Going on a cruise next week though, sure to gain some weight there, so I won't be here for weigh ins next friday. Hope everyone has had a good week and is having a good Halloween.

i decided to give away most of my candy last night at my high school football game/homecoming.. so i only have a few pieces left. yay for controlling temptation! :P

When I first posted here I was at 215.  I gained a lot of weight I think at the worst was ten pounds.  But now I am at 218 three pounds heavier.  I am also an inch taller than when we started.  I am now 6,3. So I do not look heavier.  But at lest I am back at it. Good to see that both of you have not given up.  

hey you guys!!! I am sorry i havent been on recently:( i have been so busy with rehusrals starting up and basketball season on its way. i am currently 147 and i am trying hard to get to 140 so i can get a special prize from my mom!!!!

Hello everyone, I haven't been using calorie count for awhile that why i haven't posted lately.

Here's a little update: Well Me and my bf of a year and a half broke up, but its for the best because i just don't find myself attracted to him anymore.. It was still very hard because he did some pretty messed up things to both me and my family but I have been working through it pretty well. I am currently 126 pounds so i have gained about 2 pounds since my lowest weight in a while 124. I'm not too worried about it, it could just be water weight but i don't know.

Still looking to lose 10 pounds maybe so if anyone wanted to be support buddies message me! But i will most deffinatley be posting more maybe not every weigh in but i like talking to you guys, so how is everyone? Anyone reaching goals? I love hearing inspirational stuff!

I finally found out what was wrong with my ankle after unsuccessful doctor visits.  I have tarsal coalition:  a fusing of two bones in my foot, basically, I am missing a joint in one place because two bones grew into one another and made a sort of plate.  It was causing a lot of pain with walking, and so I was missing out on a LOT of excercise.  I plan to start running again tomorrow, since I now have these special orthopedic shoe inserts.  Yay! I do really like running but have been excersising less and less as my jumping weight laughed at my motivation and stomped it beneath its feet. I might wait until next week to weigh-in on that Friday, or if I am on schedule, I might this Friday.

every scale keeps giving me different weights, so i'm just going to assume i lost 1 pound. *they said i lost more*

bails_babe- sorry to hear about the beak up! and atleast you only gained 2 pounds. i like to think i'm reaching my goals, but at a very very slow rate.

i need to start working out after school again. i feel like i've been inactive for the last 2 weeks because i haven't had gym for a full period in 2 weeks because of spirit week and we had thursday and friday off from school this week because of teacher conventions..

oi, that cruise did me in. food everywhere, all the time. should come off within 2 weeks, but that sets me back three weeks or so every time, so.
