I had my Mirena removed in March after 5 years. Happy days - regular 28 day cycle until july. My period started 11th of July as normal. However it lasted 28 days non stop. It eventually finished August 8th. Now I cant figure out was the 1st date was of my last one. Reason im asking is ive been putting on a lb a day since last Friday dispite a min of 500 kcal deficit. Ive grown to a 36 DD. Never been one in my life. Im exhausted tired - as in cant keep my eyes open tired. I feel narky, totally clingy ( so not me) & this horrible metalic taste. Im now freaking at the thought..... AM I ?????????????????????????????????

Tell me what you all think...

tks xx

I suppose you could be.

Did you have unprotected sex or reason to think you might be pregnant?

A pound a day is excessive even for pregnancy weight so it's most likely bloating/water retention that can be caused by things besides pregnancy (ie: going off a hormonal birth control). Even though it's been several months since you had the Mirena removed, I imagine it takes a while to really get back on a regular schedule and for your natural hormones to kick back into gear.

So, it's probably not a bad idea to take a test. Especially if you have a reason to think you are pregnant. You could also wait it out and see if you have a period in the next couple weeks. You could also call your doctor and ask their opinion. I think if I had a 28-day-long period I would be on the phone with my doctor at some point just to be on the safe side.

Good luck!

Thanks for that - i was in the hospital for an ultra sound early Aug ( different matter) & i mentioned it. He said yeah it is possible. The reason for unprotected sex is we didnt think my partner could have kids....... Maybe were wrong !!! I think ill do test tomo to just stop me freaking either way.

Sounds like you might be :)

Phew - did test. Negative !

That prob sounds so bad to all the peopleout there  trying for a baby & its negative every month, but it really would not be a good time to have another baby into this world of mine.

Must be some other reason why my weight is yo yo ing all over the place. Thanks anyway
