Hi,

Time to be brutally honest (I know we have no trouble doing that around here). Tell me what you think of one of my bridal photos that I uploaded to my profile.

Seriously tho, do I look just pissed off as heck? Or what? :)

it is an awesome shot and you look like you are planning a very well-deserved murder!

smirking like your plan is coming together. heheh

I think it looks very classic and unique. You don't look pissed to me, just deep in thought. I like it.

I love it! It's awesome. You don't look pissed off, you look like a badass.

Yikes. You just got married and you're already asking who will go crazy and leave?

haha you guys are awesome! thanks!

the photographer said it was one of his favorite shots and maybe I dont have the artist eye because I was kinda like "hmmm i look a little mad" but we are our worst critics.

Geez ... did the ex-girlfriend crash the party or something???

Im not married yet. One month away!!! I asked about the who will leave thing because my best friends cousin just got married 3 months ago and her husband is already going out partying for days on end...making her worry. :(

But I have full confidence in my choice in man and in myself.

Well put, CDC!!! Laughing

* Moves away nervously... * Surprised

Pictures can be very off, as I saw from an old National Geographic photo years ago... An Aborigine Dad was simply playing with small son-- but the picture looked as if he was MAD as he could be-- and scary! Surprised

On the other hand... seriously! My Wedding pics included one of my new Mom-in-Law... looking VERY angry... because she WAS, lol!!! Wink

(The Minister noticed, and was worried she disapproved of our Marriage!)

The Truth was that she was VERY angry at my new Dad-in-Law because he came without changing his clothes to wear what she'd prepared for him-- as he didn't want to-- and my Dear New Hubby saw him wandering around in his yard and not coming-- and brought him! He's sharing the picture with her... Laughing

Don't worry about it, if you were-- it could be THE Fun pic for you later... Wink

P.S.-- It will be 30 Years ago next month, and it really is a Favorite picture to us-- even to visitors! AND... if you ask her about it-- she STILL gets riled about it, lol! Wink

I just recently got married and the first thing the photographer told me was to smile no matter what, you never know who is taking a picture. As to avoid the common "pissed off" look. Its hard to smile for 5 hours straight that is for sure. However I think it is a great picture.

Honestly...I think it looks like the photographer told you to look thoughtful and you were about to laugh :)  I got lots of those at my wedding!

I can see how it could be interpreted as mad, but my first thought was you were thinking sexy thoughts about your groom and impending honeymoon.

Or maybe you're just thoughtful...yeah go with that.  Wink

You look kind of evil. lol

UD

you look like you want to do damage to something...I guess one word would be...you look "intense" but I think its a good picture.

Exactly! The photographer kept saying to be serious and I would just start laughing or try so hard to be serious that I looked angry.

Cant wait for more pics of the actual wedding day!

You got your wedding photos done in advance of the wedding day? Is that a new thing or am I horribly behind the times?

Usually bridals (at least where I am from) are taken in advance before the wedding. Just pictures of the bride without the groom or anyone else in them. and traditionally the groom cant see them till later because hes not supposed to see the bride in the dress before the wedding day.

But some people arent going with tradition as much anymore and getting bridals and "groomals" (if you will) before the marriage.

*this is normal where I am from....but Im from idaho :)

OP, love the photo. To me it's quirky and wonderful.

kathygator, I got married a year ago and when we were choosing our photographer, all of the packages included "bridal portraits." I'd never heard of this, and turns out, it's kinda a southern thing. It's a session where the photographer photographs just the bride in her dress.

Edit: just saw above post...Maybe it's not so much southern as I'd been led to believe :)
