TELL ME!! how do i look?
Well, it is officially week 2 in maintenance and I believe I am up less than a pound eating 2100 and 2000 calories each week, depending on workout. I gained .2 this past week and .6 the week before.
what do you think as far as my calorie range goes? i am 4'11 and at my goal weight. so, should i keep it at this intake or not?
the pictures on my profile are taken today...so let me know what you think!!
new swimsuit...first string bikini bottoms...not so sure how much i like them. :)
anyway, please leave any advice/comments/anything at all! I feel great and the weight gain has been minimal, and doesn't bother me, but how do you think i look?
my belly feels bloated and huge still but i have accepted it. i'm noticing changes that i like though which is also good!
You look great! and im very jealous of your boobage, I have none atall (not being pervy or anything lol) Your belly doesn't look bloated by the way! Youre pic has made me feel really positive that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you chrissy :)
aaw thanks...**blush**i am happy that i have boobies..i always had bigger boobs for my body even pre-ED...they were actually a bit much..lol.
I feel happy that I could brighten the outlook that you have on recovery. i guess it is possible to reach a weight that you can feel proud of, even though it's more than you've seen in a LONG LONG time. I am over 16 pounds heavier than i was 6 months ago, and I never thought back then that I'd be where I am now, accepting of the weight gain. but when i slip on a pair of pants and they're snug I don't think "gee Christina youre getting fat"...instead, i run over to the mirror to look at my butt, to see if it's taking shape. i want to be a woman, to be slender and beautiful and even a bit curvaceous I guess.
thanks for the compliment though. I still have a body like a ruler though, no waist, that sucks!! that's why none of my pics are really straight on, I feel kinda un-feminine when i'm viewed straight on, and I still don't like my belly button...lol.
You look awesome! I bet you feel much healthier too :) Did you work out whilst you were gaining at all? I ask because I'm nearly at my goal weight yet look much less toned than you :(
not so much working out until i was almost at my goal, but mostly weight training and pilates. i think that leans you out quite a bit. too much cardio and i couldn't gain. so, no cardio and lots of strength training. but how far are you from your goal?? if it's not too far then it's safe, but more than 5 pounds away and i'd wait. also, make sure to eat back the calories you burn!! it feeds the muscle growth and contributes to the toned look, whilst maintaining the gain. if you have any questions at all feel free to ask!!
you look great....in shape and healthy! congrats on recovery![]()
congrats! you look great :)
if you don't mind me asking, what strength training program do you use? my weight gain has been fine and i'm at an 18.5 bmi as of right now, but i feel like weight training would help me gain more in the shoulders and upper body area and i'm a newbie with weights. i look weak up there, ha.
i'm glad you've reached your goal though!
you look normal and healthy. it might be an idea to stop focusing on your body image and try to integrate things in your life that dont revolve around image. art music, sport, charity work. things which may add more substance and fullfillment
I think you still look really great :)
Keep up the great work! Jeez, you're really toned too, jealous!
i do that already...the focus on fulfilling areas of life, i plan to write a book this summer. right now i'm getting ready to graduate and don't have much time for charity work and such seeing as i work and go to school. i'm just trying to get healthy and come to a place of self acceptance and approval that way all of the other areas in my life can blossom!! if i don't have self acceptance as the foundation those other areas won't provide me with the fulfillment that they should but i completely understand your point fidget.
which pic is everyone looking at? i don't see the "toned"ness...lol. maybe my view is still a bit distorted.
I don't do a specific regimen...i kinda just made it up so if anyone wants to know what i do specifically feel free to ask, but it is by no means a perfected strength routine. i just try to workout each muscle group in the most effective way possible.
not to stray from the topic, but would you mind messaging me or posting the exercises that you do? i'd just like to get a general idea of a "informal" strength routine.
thanks!
I think you look fantastic,I cant offer any advice on what your intake range etc should be, just wanted to let you know you look wonderful.

I meant that you look like you're really in shape, like your muscles really have definition and everything. If thats what was confusing you

No..i wasn't literally confused...i just don't see it that's all. so i was wondering which picture makes it appear that i'm toned is all. lol. thanks again everyone!! :)
I have some toning exercise that you can do at home, or any where, with no equipment necessary.
I can send them all to you if you like - there are a few simple and easy to follow instructions with a web - link where you can view the picture of each exercise.
Type “Pilate’s 100’s” into GOOGLE, or “Pilate’s 100 images” so you can see pictures of them - it is one of THE best things you can do for your entire midsection!
And Chrissy - you look good in your new pictures! You are very lucky to be lovely and slim, yet still healthy.

here you go...hope it helps.
any more opinions on my body...critique me to the max. i only want to improve and be healthy, i'm not sure if my mind is distorted and i don't see the body that everyone sees since i am desensitized to it...being that i see it everyday.
so, how do you think i look?
edit to clarify...yes i am insecure, yes i want outside affirmation. and yes I know that i should probably not care, but i do care. i don't trust my own opinions and i would like the perspective of others if that makes me vain, bad, or annoying then i'm sorry. i just want to be healthy and know how others perceive me. ![]()
Sweetie, if you still don't get it now after two posts and various comments...then no matter how many other people say something and reassure you, you won't believe it.
Just trust the comments. More importantly, I know EDs can leave you distorted (god, do I know.) but, trust what the people here are saying. You look fine. :)
Everyone's said you look great. Why do you want to be critiqued? Doesn't sound that healthy to me. In fact it sounds like you're asking for permission to change your body in ways that will allow your eating disorder to fixate, whether it's weight loss or muscle toning. You look fine, end of.
