You can tell you've been dieting too long when... (just for fun!)
You can tell you've been dieting too long when you're eating a diet coke cake with blueberries and think, "I love the crust that using coke gives it. It's so much nicer than real cake!"

When you go after your husband with a fork if he tries to grab a bite of whatever perfectly portioned out food you're eating. I've logged those calories, so I'm going to eat them all dammit!
YES! having "just a bite" is one more bite I CAN'T HAVE. mine!
When you have to bring home food from the office because you've accumulated so much from not counting the calories before you pack lunch in the morning.

When you find yourself actually pondering if it's a medium or large banana/ apple.
Ugh, do this alll the time
When EVERYONE in the office comes to you and asks "how many calories are in this" ![]()
When you look at a table of food and decide what is and what isn't "worth" the calories!

When the totally delicious (like heaven!!) fat free 80 cal freezed chocolate puding...tastes like crap to everyone else... and u just cant believe something that good is only 80 cal!!
When your friends turn to you and ask "How many calories is this?" rather than read the label because they know you're a walking nutrition facts data base.
When you no longer weigh your sweet potatoes to figure out how many you can get for under a dollar a pound to be cheap, but to make sure you are getting a medium one vs a large one lol
When you pass up a cookie for an apple because your taste has really changed that much lol

when you feel guilty for snacking before dinner... then realize you're holding a stalk of celery.
LOL! I just did this, doing up a veggie tray for my son's class and I caught myself munching on brocolli stalk and I thought I really have to stop doing this! Then I realized, it's brocolli, not ham sausage or cookies...

Or you take one bite of something and try to pawn it off on your husband or kids because it isn't "worth" an extra 15 mins on the elliptical.
I totally decide now if some is "worth" eating. lol

When you find yourself engaged in a discussion with your husband whether sex that morning was "general" or "vigorous" so you can enter the proper 5 minutes activity into your log.
LOL!! I'm not the only one!! Thank goodness!
When you're in the grocery store, and overhear someone talking about their "healthy eating habits" - you look in their cart and see lots of high-calorie foods in what they think is low-calorie. Then hold back the temptation to correct them and let them know that their "diet" probably isn't going to work unless they work out 8 hours a day!!
(True story - couldn't believe this lady... Going on and on about how healthy her family eats... And the cart is full of all kinds of false health-foods!)
When you go to a BBQ and measure ketchup in a teaspoon.
When you make a mental list of the bite-sized samples you eat at Costco, making sure to estimate how much there is of each one, so you can go home and dutifully log the calories.

That's good though! I think it's a good rule to live by whether you "diet" or not.
When your a DJ and your friends suggest you should change your name from DJ Cakes to DJ Calorie Counter
:)
When you get invited to go out to eat and say you need 10 minutes to 'get ready' so that you can look up the nutrition information, calculate calorie contents of different meals, and plan what you want to order.
When you eat a bunch of spinach and throw in an apple to see if you can make the analysis give you an A instead of an A-.
...when you don't even need to look up the nutrition facts
...when you have notebooks and pages and pages of food logs.
When people stop commenting when you pass up pizza for salad.
When you're cooking pasta and you have to ask your boyfriend to taste it (if it's ready or not) because you don't want to add some "extra calories" into your daily calorie allowance
