I did the ten!

Quote  |  Reply

Finally!   Oh my gosh, I got on the scale this morning and I was just hoping to be maintaining at 8 pds gone.....but I did it I have lost 10lbs!   I have not been this low in at least 7 years!   I can not say it enough the plan works....STICK WITH IT!  Nothing before CC has given me these results!  I want to thank each and every CC member with all your support and VERY helpful advice......I am on Cloud 9!   I am trying to lose a total of 25lbs and in a little over 3 months I have taken off the first 10!  My method:  I count the cals's, keep in the A's to high B's rating for the food analysis, I stay on the recommended cal's by the tools - calorie counter what it tells me I can have, and aerobic exercise (mine is mostly running) at least 3 to 4 times a week, with a little weights and good old sit-ups etc....thrown in there. I also believe in weighting EVERYDAY, because it allowes me to figure out my pattern so when my weight fluctuates (being a women) I don't get depressed and think I am doing something wrong.  Everyday I put my weight in the chart and look at the pattern....and now I get my personal style of losing and I know I go up and down a little, but it will go down if I stick to the plan.

Bottom line:  this is possible for all of us.....just stick with the program and keep chatting!  What a GREAT day!

Congratulations on hitting this milestone!  I like your reasoning behind weighing every day.

Congratulations!  I happened to have just lost my 10 lb. goal this week and am also SOoooo pleased.  Everything has been worth doing, and I basically did exactly what you said you do, with a workout videos thrown in.  I am in total agreement about the scale. I like to see the trends and patterns.  And even though they say not to weigh yourself after a bad meal or day, I do because it gives me that much more motivation to get on track when I see that the scale is (albeit temporarily) raised 2 or 3 lbs. above "normal."

Keep up the great work!  I know I'm loving the benefits of running and want to maintain some of this great physique even after I lose my next 5 or 10 lbs. and start practicing maintenance.

Whopee!! It works!! Congratulations to both of you.

I have been doing this for almost four weeks, and have lost 6 pounds. Very happy about that, very, and have 4 more to go until I reach my goal. It's gotten harder the last two days, so to see that with diligence and patience, the big 10 can happen, is very helpful. Thanks!

yeah, stick with it, meredithmc.  I've had my fair share of bad struggle days here and there through out it all, but it made me pretty happy to see that overall I don't have to be perfect and yet I'm still getting the results!  Just be determined not to give up the fight (give up the pounds, not the fight!!).  Tell yourself that YOU will not be the loser and that you're not going to go down that easily.  So what if you're not perfect every single day of the week! :)

I love everyone's attitudes here!  You are all right-you don't have to be perfect. Forgivness is a wonderful tool, isn't it!  Keep up the great work.  You all deserve the great results!  :)

Congratulations girl! Way to go! And I am trying to do everything that you are, and our weight loss has been very similar, trying to lose 35 lb, just lost the first 10 in 3 months!

Keep up the great work- you are AWESOME!

Yessss .. be happy and love yourself my friend... CC is working for all of us ... nothing can change our diet and our food preferences....

and seriously nothing can work better than this ... because the rule of accumulation is behind this ...

great!

Cool

I really like your story about loosing the first 10 lbs.  I am down 3 and I get discouraged but then I look at the small stories and chat groups and i am encouraged again.  I have NEVER counted calories, Weight Watchers didnt work for me and I have never stuck with a program for more than a couple of weeks.  I am in my fourth week with CC and I love it.  The analysis is a wonderful tool with this program.  thanks for telling us your story, it encourages more than you know....

Congratulations on that first ten!  You are right in that if you just keep plugging away and follow the basic principles set forth here on CC, it really is a recipe for success.  It is the smartest way to lose in weight IMO in that you will keep it off for the long term.  It's not just a passing fad.  Congrats again!

Fit12 and Oddfunk  --  Thank you for your response....it really does make me feel good knowing what I said may help others to stay with the program.

Fit12--  You just hang in there like I said and it may take 3 months, but I promise the weight will start to come off!

:D :D :D :D

CONGRADULATIONS...thats wiqued amazing.

Congrats!I agree about weighing yourself everyday. Not only does it help me recognize the natural fluctuation of my weight, it's a daily reminder to stay focused!

congratulations on your hard work and your accomplishments! keep going!~
