I am sick with the worst cold I've had so far this season. I wanted something sweet, and popsicles were all I had. Right now, I'm working on my second one today. My question is, will I regret this later? Will it in any way slow down my recovery or make my cold worse?

I dont think it will hurt your cold at all. It will probably soothe your sore throat and they are usually low in calories so I wouldnt worry about it too much. But I dont think anything in them will hurt your body. Just enjoy the coolness on your throat and get better soon!
the only good thing about been ill is one generally lacks appetite and one sleeps a lot so one is not thinking about food much. the danger is when you recover and all of a sudden have a HUGE appetite. still in general its best to eat properly and anything that helps recover like soothing a sore throat is good. If you are sick you are vulnerable to other illnesses like one strain of cold after another (or make a cronic problem reoccour), so gaining a little weight because of a limited choice is worth the quicker recovery.
Nope!
SMILE!
