My sleeping disorder which is also part to blame on how much I'm eating. The longer i'm up the more time passes and I'm just up and aware to every 4-5 hrs I want something to eat and i'm not sleeping much and when I do i'm out cold. It's hard for me to get to sleep but it's easy to wake me up and I've had the worst sleeping disorder since I can remember having memories lol so about 4 yrs. I'm truly my grandmother's grandchild because she's the same way and it didn't striker her daughter (my mom), or my sister the eldest or my brother the youngest. I was the lucky one who inherited this. Because they can sleep and they sleep very deep. For a few years I had to take 2 Unisom's every night just to sleep at a decent time and to stay asleep more than 4 hours w/o waking up at least twice. It's just terrible... i'm up right now and it's 5:07 am and I'm not the least bit tired. It's so frustrating I dunno what to do.
Hi, my name is Irene, I'm 65 and when I hit menopause at age 50 sleep went out the door.Tried everything from Benadryl to muscle relaxers, I haven't been able to get a decent night's sleep until now. I have RA and when I went to urgent care for a flare up, the doctor gave me sleeping pills. Temazepam 15mg. They are heaven sent, but so hard to get a refill. I have to beg my doctor for them. They don't knock you out and you wake up refreshed. I care for 5 grandchildren and I need to be rested. I've lost 40lbs, but have put back 10, I don't want to gain it all back, but the last 20 is very hard. Try walking at night, drinking plenty of water, cut up fruit into small pieces to snack on when you are awake at night and get a little hungry. I was like you, I would be awake all night and still have to get up early, so I was always tired, but the walking late helped me sleep a little better. I wish you the best and hope you can get a good nights sleep soon.
