30th birthday on July 25th - need to lose 8-12lbs! Anyone want to join?
Hi All --
I used calorie count in Nov-Dec and lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks. I gained back a few pounds and have 12 to go to reach my goal of 115. I'm 5'1" and currently weigh 127. I'd like to get this last 12 pounds off by my 30th birthday, July 25th.
PLEASE join me in weekly weigh ins on Mondays (starting this Monday, June 22nd) all the way up to the big day! I stay so much more motivated with help & support!!!
I REALLY need suggestions on how everybody stays motivated to workout & stay within calorie budget, too.

Count me in. I will turn 29 the first week of July and my husband's birthday is July 23. I am hoping to lose atleast 8 pounds by then. Started CC 2 weeks ago.

A typical 1200 calorie day for me (well, 1300 on this day) looks like this: (yeppers - I did have pizza for breakfast!)

Need some advice. I am currently at 150. I started at 152.8 and the next day I weighed 151.4. (Note: I weigh in at the same time each day in about the same clothes etc). That was 2.5 weeks ago. I maintained a calorie deficit of 1000 for about 4-5 days a week and dont usually measure on Saturday and Sunday...but work out very hard during the week. Inspite of that I have managed to get to only 150 in 2.5 weeks. i.e. 2.8 or 1.4 pounds depending on how you look at it.
I would love to lose 2 pounds each week. Am I doing something wrong? Is my body going into starvation mode or should I just be patient and be content with 1 pound loss per week?

Oh bum... weighed in and no loss, but in a way this is a little encouraging as I have had a cold all week and not gone to the gym. I had 3 birthday parties last weekend AND I am pre menstrual, so all in all I am kind of pleased with that... Roll on next Friday for some real weight loss!!!

Thanks Safetygirl... I will get back on it... didn't log cals today as my daughter has some dreadful infection in her arm, so have been applying compresses and all sorts today! Back to hospital tomorrow so they can drain it or whatever they are going to do.. will deal with that then! I will need to get back pumping iron to relieve some of this stress! O.K June 26th- 138.4 lbs
not much of a loss from 138.6, muscles are sore been doing strenght training and hoping that I'm gaining muscle. I think I need to do more cardio as I've been only lifting weights. I started counting calories on the 13th and I was then at just under 141lbs.

Hi guys. OK... I weighed and I lost 3 pounds just about... so I'm pretty happy. It was about 9 days... because I didn't weigh in on Wednesday do to my travels. I hope the scale is right. I was a little nervous that my 1700 cals a day would do it because it seems like others are doing less... but I guess for now I'll stick with it.
Starting weight: 160.6
June 26: 157.7
I'm 5'7" I'd like to be 155 or less when I get pregnant - who knows when that will be.
I really like this group... I've never written to a group before but I like the accountability - albeit to strangers!

Chickshakespeare, if it is your time of the month, you are bound to be more. I can put on up to 4 pounds sometimes. It'll come off. See you guys tomorrow for our weight in friday's ladies! I hope I stay the same as I was today as I have lost some and it would be sooooooooo annoying if it went back on for tomorrow! lol!
I'm a little disappointed..but not giving up. I am up 1 lb, but it's my time of the month, so 1# isn't so bad. My goal for this week is to keep tracking and keep moving!

Well done Leigh Ann, 1 lb when you have your period is great. I lost nothing last week! Have done a little better this week and lost 2lbs so I am pleased as I have not done any exercise. My daughter has been off school with a staph infection in her arm, so it has been a horrible week as she has been quite sick with it. Quite traumatic for an 8 year old to go through the awful cleaning and packing of the abscess so at least I have my weight loss to cheer me up! What will make me feel great is to get to under 130, that should really keep me motivated. Good luck everybody for today's weigh in!
