i often do this and am recomending it...or it might be common i dont know

but than you everyone who posts here about recovery

When i feel awful about all the food i consume or am obsessing or feel like I am going to lose control i come on this site and i read everyones posts about recovery, i just read how someone was freaking out cause they could not see their ribs any more...i was feeling the same way, right now i am terrified of my thighs touching.  i am still under weight and am trying to feel comfortable with getting to the lowest level bmi and still about 5lbs away.  i feel awful about the way i look, but when i read the posts i am at least reminding myself of the awful consequences of my anorexia.  so thanks cause today i am not going to binge becaue i feel so bad, i am not going to take a sleeping pill to avoid binging or an anxiety attack.  i am going to stay here and read these posts till i can get some control back.

Bobo I do exactly the same thing, reading recovery posts really helps give me a kick in the butt when the ED is taking control. I now often eat my meals while reading these posts!

This forum has really helped me in a lot of ways as well :)

Gilly, what a fantastic idea to eat while reading posts!! I've never thought of doing that, I'll bet it makes it much easier!

I am glad to read the recovery posts here are helping people. [: Seriously, it makes me smile.

I would never have come this far without this forum.

It's put so much into perspective.

:)

It's wonderful to have the support of others going through similar issues, and to share my thoughts with others.  Just to talk about it is such a huge help.

For the first time, I think I stand a chance of living a life that's not under ED's thumb.  In other words, I stand a chance of truly living, not just existing.  Can't thank you magnificent people enough.

Mel.  :-)
