FIVE FOODS ONLY
The 5 foods from your ideal Thanksgiving spread that for this one time wont be considered unhealthy or fattening.  This means from everything - appetizers, desserts, meat, side dishes - you must narrow it down to 5 choices.

1.  Stuffing (italian with ground beef)
2.  Candied Yams (no can, peeled, boiled and baked with melted brown sugar)
3.  Brocolli / Rice Cheese Casserole
4.  Buttered Yeast Rolls (stole this from rose_gil's post)
5.  Blueberry Pie

Remember - only five (started with four but couldnt do it LOL).
Does anyone know if casserole is  latin for "artery clogging"?

Extra points to deflepfan for combining pumpkin pie and cheesecake as one entry LOL!

Anyone familiar with turkey oyesters, its from the pelvic hip part and its this perfect muscle thats shaped like closed clam and the tenderest part on the turkey.  Anybody know what I mean?

Garlic butter rolls made me remember rolls. Gonna boot the green bean casserole (already got brocolli rice cheese) for some buttered croissants.
1. Biscuits.
2. Biscuits.
3. Biscuits.
4. Biscuits.
5. Biscuits with gravy.

If my entire Thanksgiving meal consisted of biscuits, I'd be a happy camper.
Cellulite, my favorite food is garlic bread and I could make a meal of it to so I totally hear you on that one!
Ha! Yeah leave it to me to add pumpkin to EVERYTHING!  I would attempt a cheesecake but I'd be afraid it would be AWESOME (due to my awesomely awesome cooking abilities...actually not one of my cheesecakes have turned out yet =P) AND then I'd eat the whole thing!

And yeah I almost didn't put rolls...I had cheesy scalloped potatoes but I figured I already have mashed potatoes and no bread!  Had to change that =)

I've never heard of turkey oyesters though...you eat them?

EDIT TO ADD: I made up the garlic butter rolls because garlic bread is also one of my favorite foods! haha!
1. mashed potatoes
2. macaroni cheese and turkey kielbasa bake
3. roast garlic chicken
4. greens
5. cornbread

.ohhh man...i remember the days...if i could add another, it'd definetly be scallopped cheesy potatoes...
Bahaha.  I've been working in pizza for about ten months now (got fired last month, started today at the same damned restaurant but in a different location under a different owner) so I get tons of garlic bread.  And this new store I'm at actually has breadsticks soaking in garlic butter that they send through the oven.  My old store just had garlic butter on pizza crust with cheese.

I do love that garlic bread though.  and garlic cheddar biscuits?  Looooord, don't get me started.
I so want a biscuit right now.  I've got a nice little tub of garlic butter on my desk, too.

Mmmm.....
Its a made up family term for it but you gotta claim them.  If a cooked turkey is on its belly, where the leg hits the spine is a curved pocket in the bone where this meat sits - chicken has it too and with all the bone there it can be obvious if you look for it.  Just a tender on chicken as turkey.  Probably because that muscle there isnt used that its so melt in your mouth.

You have a tub of garlic bread on your desk? Sounds kind of funny and torturous at the same time ... unless your eating it then not so torturous.

If somebody gets scallopped cheesy potatoes, share some with craver.
This may sound evil but when I see brocolli or greens, I think but you can eat them on your diet LOL.

When not dieting a Thanksgiving and that room on your plate means passing something to allow room for something else, I always go taste with difficulty.  If I cant make it or its more work to make it, it gets higher ranking.  Maybe cause Im such a bad cook but buttered peas on the table - I can make that, Next!  Homemade banana pudding, move over food and make room.

green salad

the turkey (that is if I can stay away from the gravey)

low cal 1 piece of pie with low fat scoop of vanilla icecream

other then that it will all be fattening

Wait I'm confused...were we supposed to post things that we would totally eat if it wasn't fattening?

1. homemade potato biscuits

2. garlic/chive mashed potatoes w/ turkey drippings/mushroom gravy

3. homemade cornbread stuffing w/ turkey and spicy turkey sausage (my roommates recipe)

4. my mom's garlic, white wine, mushroom, brown and wild rice risotto/

5. my roommates' homemade mac and cheese

1.  Sweet potatoe pie (with the browned marshmallows on top)

2.  Cheddar garlic bisquits

3.  Hashbrown casserole (with the sourcream sauce and loads of cheese)

4.  Watergate salad

5.  Pecan Pie (or if someone varied it to make pecan-pumpkin pie, that would be great)

Stuffing, lots of it

Banana salad

Seven layer salad

Mashed potatoes and brown gravy

Pistacchio salad

 **drooling a little**

1. White meat, juicy turkey...

2. My grandma's mashed potatoes with butter...

3. A PILE of yeast rolls...

4. Stuffing...

5. And homemade pumpkin pie or persimmon pudding to finish it all off. ^-^
turkey
clover rolls
whole berry cranberry sauce, preferably homemade with orange peel added.
sage & onion stuffing
pumpkin pie

No kidding, I put the cranberry sauce on top of the turkey and eat it instead of gravy. I love cranberry sauce. I already have some packages of cranberries in my freezer, I might just try using splenda to make the sauce this year.
