On the southbeach thread Ive pledged to lose 11 lbs but Im almost 400 lbs so this is very possible.  I also plan to stay on my temporarily stricter version (phase 1) of southbeach which drops carbs or severally limits them (note: normal SB has carbs, healthy one).  I am bringing more vegetables into my diet.
Lose 3-4 lbs.

-eat only healthy foods NO JUNK

-not to overindulge

-limit the alcohol (calories add up QUICK)

-cardio 5 x's a week, strength training 3-4 x's

My goals are:

1. Lose 10-15 lbs by Christmas
2. Make healthy eating choices
3. Visit the gym at least 4 times a week
4. Choose not to be lazy

1. Eat more veggies

2. Try something new (a recipe, a food, a spice)

3. perfect my low calorie egg nog recipe

4.  stay OFF the scale until Christmas

5. Add a new vitamin/supplement: Biotin

6. Eat more ostrich

7. Eat more quinoa

=^..^= MOLLY

1. Eat more veggies

2. NO JUNK

3. Add more fish to my diet(I dislike fish but am really trying, I started with salmon)

4. Do at least 30 mins of cardio daily with 30 mins of ab work 30 mins 3-5 times a week

5.Watch less tv

6. Try to teach Cyrus to roll over from belly to back since he already does it the other way

7. Keep my house clean

1. Continue eating a healthy diet that integrates whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats.

2. Conversely, don't be too stringent, because it often backfires, as I have learned.  A major challenge for me is learning to incorporate the occasional indulgence so that I feel like I'm really living.

3. Continue to exercise every day.

4. Make sure I'm getting enough sleep--it's crunch time in college, and it's really easy to lose sleep, but I find that when I don't sleep enough, I don't have the energy to keep up with my workouts.

5. Try new healthy recipes; experimenting is fun, and variety is the "spice" (pun intended)  of life!

6. Keep up with all my homework and make good grades.

7. Be kind to my boyfriend and family, be there for them emotionally, resist the temptation to be selfish.

8. Keep up with my housework.  I have my own place now and my momma's not around to do it for me!

9. Most important: keep a positive attitude and a zest for life, always!  This may be the only life I get, so I can't waste it being gloomy!

Wow, ccemc, thanks for starting this thread--it helped me to get my goals in order.  I didn't realize I wanted to do so much!

Great post...it's so easy to "postpone" until tomorrow the day to day goals I set...writing them down will keep me accountable. Thanks!!

 Goals:

1.  Take back control over my portions.

2.  Do 30 minutes of aerobic exercise 4 times/wk supplementing that with Yoga every day.

3.  Lose 5 lbs or 2 more inches by Thanksgiving.

My scale hasn't moved in a month but I've lost nearly 5 inches from my waist.

Here goes nothin Cool
