"The Thanksgiving Ten" - losing those last annoying pounds challenge & support group
Please post your stats: age, sex, height, current weight and goal weight for Thanksgiving (November 22nd, 2007).
We will start on Monday October 1st. Feel free to weigh in and post at any time. I won't impose and official weigh in day, but I was thinking that Saturdays might work well as a motivation not to over do it during the weekend. I will keep a running tally of where everyone is.
For weigh-ins, please send me a private message, I think it will be easier this way. I will then update this post. You can weigh in at any time, but I suggested Saturday as a good day.

OHHHH man if i can do this i'll be so impressed with myself. it's been a struggling plateau this past month. 12 more pounds until I hit OFFICIAL goal. 10 pounds will have me walkin that line. how exciting!
i fear the thanks giving dinner rolls and gravy. oh moms gravy. what's a girl to do? I already have a plan on working out a bunch that morning, so I can have some calorie wiggle room. a nice walk after dinner should help too. i'm already looking forward to the turkey and ham.

can't wait to meet this goal! i do ballet three times a week and often go on vigorous bike rides. i try to eat tons of fresh vegetables and need to stop eating so much at night time after 9pm. i looooove cereal and need to limit it to being a morning-only food. i was down to 127 two weeks ago and have really fallen off the band wagon. hopefully this group will help keep me on track!

Hey Blah,
When I first started my diet I was living at home with my mom and 2 brothers. It took some serious willpower to organize a diet around all the fast food and junk that was coming into the house. I got my own fridge for the garage, and asked for assigned cabinets in the kitchen, and it made my life a LOT easier. Because I had a defined line between what I could have, and what was mine. I'd bypass everything else in the house but what was in MY cabinets and MY fridge. Ask your parents for a section of the kitchen, and possibly look into finding a fridge to put in your garage (just ask around, people have extra ones) and it will be 10x's easier on you, i swear it :)

thanks for your advice. since we already have a second refridgerator in the garage, making my own section will be easy! oh man but the temptations do get hard to resist! it will be a good practice for the holiday season!
