Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without......

what?  What could you not possibly forgo?  Name one thing...name a bunch!

For me, it's mashed potatoes and gravy and pumpkin pie with a big heap of whipped cream.  I really like everything else, but those two things make the meal for me.

 EDIT:  Yes, family and Macy's parade.  I was so geared toward thinking about the food already......  One of the biggest thrills of my adult life was getting to go to the Macy's T-Day Parade for the first time.  I was 23 and it was awesome!!

For me it's Apple Pie, My home-made sausage stuffing, and the Macy's Parade on TV

My mom's mashed potatoes w/ gravy, or sometimes she makes these really good bite-sized garlic baked potatoes. SOOOOO GOOD!

My momma's apple pie! It's rustic and perfect, as is. It was absolutely delicious this year, yet again. I wish I was still looking forward to a big meal this week! Canada just just adopt both dates....

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving for the hubster without a side dish of pearl onions and cream sauce... for me it's all about the cooking of the feast, those wonderful aromatics, my husbands company, a few glasses of wine and of course pie.
