Ok, not really. But having SO hide it on me except for once a week.
I tried to tell myself that I would not let it affect me, as I know weight fluctuates from day to day. In just over a month I had lost 10lbs and got into a size lower.
SO, today, the scale is up 2 lbs from Friday. I KNOW my weekend was good. I ate well and exercised and did everything right. In my mind I know it's not possible to gain 2 lbs, but I'm letting it affect me WAY too much....so that's it.
I dont trust myself to hide it on myself so I had him do it ;-).
I'm only posting to write it..so I don't hunt it down when I get home tonight. I let that stupid thing affect me WAY too much ;)
Good for you! I say, if you KNOW you're doing everything right then there's no need to weigh yourself every day or even every week. I go by the way I feel, the way my clothes fit, and my energy levels. When healthy eating and exercise have become a way of life for you, small fluctuations aren't worth stressing over....just my opinion ;)
I say Chuck IT! Weight can flucuate daily, even hourly. No use in setting yourself up for failure.
I lost 5 pounds overnight this weekend. MIRACLE??? I think not. I stopped having so much sodium, and there we go!
I share your pain. I was feeling lighter and I went on the scale expecting a postive surprise and it looks like I gained a few pounds and I had been on a plateau anyway! It's quite a challenge to have a philosphical attitude about it. We're all beautiful as we are :-) It's the truth.
If you're running a calorie deficit, what else can you do? Go crazy? It would be so nice to lose faster! I'd be so happy to lose a pound a week!
I hear ya on this one. We have a competition going at work. We are calling it the "Money Meltdown". We put money in the kitty each week, weigh ourselves at work and the person who loses the highest percentage of body fat by Sept. 1st wins the cash. I was the one who volunteered to bring in my scale because it weights to the nearest tenth of a pound. It killed me this first week to have no scale!!! This morning I rushed to work with coffee in a thermos and oatmeal in tupperware so I could weigh myself and then eat before work !!
OH and I lost 2.2 lbs ![]()
