I just got my P90X kit., read it over, and will start the first workout tonight.
I used to go to the gym religiously 4 days a week for 3 years straight.. that ended about 3 years ago. I learned that ny body just won't bulk up or get ripped as I want it to. I'm hoping that it's the truth, and I just wasn't doing the right things. I can say that I was in the best shape of my life back then.
I'm maybe 10 pounds overweight, nothing major, but have definitely lost the strength I worked so hard to build back then.
I also know that I do not have the endurance for cardio. Jogging a mile on the treadmill kills me (yea, I know.. lame), but give me weights, and I'm in! Is that normal?
So, I was looking at the food intake guide, and based on my stats, I'm supposed to intake almost 2600 calories? I can't eat that much food.. is that really necessary. I was considering sticking with my current "diet" and doing the workouts.. I generally have a egg & egg white in the morning, chicken breast with veggies for lunch & dinner, banana during the day, whey protein shake with milk sometime during the day, and misc other stuff, but all healthy. I'm guessing that'll come closer to 1600 calories... and if I have 3 glasses of water (usually with crystal light to give it some flavor), I'm lucky. Not a big liquid drinker, and I don't take supplements. I don't go hungry, so it's not like I'm starving myself either.
How many of you are sticking to the insane amount of calories they say to consume?
Who is just doing the workout without their nutrition plan?
Just was curious to see what's going on out there..
Looking forward to getting killed tonight with the first DVD.. I'm sure my body will hate me tomorrow & definitely the next day!
