there is yelling and screaming eminating from the kitchen. first it wasnt too loud. But now it building up and it is deafening!
"Hey, come in here. make a tomato sandwich on sourdough bread."
"IT wont matter, you need to boost your metabolism anyway!"
"call it a fruit and move on!"
"Shut up", I yell back.
Why oh why does it have to be so hard? I feel like going in the kitchen and throw the stuff in the garbage disposal. ummm
I have been so good for 12 days and have lost 5 lb in 11 days. I went to 1900-2000 cal for three wks. and then went to 1450 cal for the past 12 days. It was the boost I needed. BUt this little demon in the kitchen, well I just dont know. there isnt anything thing in the library here about lil devils in the kitchen.

I don't think it is the tomato that is making it tough it is the sour dough bread and the daily calorie limit. I'm guessing she is already at or close to her limit.
Karenie, I'm not sure what to do about the voices but I know from experience if you ignore them completely it just makes the craving that much worse. What I've tried to do recently is compromise and find something close to what I want but that is better for me (typically popcorn without butter if it is a bread I'm craving or an apple chips or other dried fruit if it is something sweet).
Maybe if you have the calories left you can make a tomoato sandwich on wheat bread or if it really is the sour dough you are craving, make an open face with half the bread.
Good luck dealing with those devils.

I was taken hostage by the kitchen devils... they tied me up and stuffed a tomato sandwitch in my mouth. Do I sound a little like Adam? Eve made me do it!
Well tomorrow is a new day!
cheers!

I'm with United on this. The best way to assure the sourdough doesn't
take you hostage is to kick the little bugger out of the kitchen and
stock up on good stuff, whole wheat bread, fresh fruits and veggies,
etc.
That way.. even if the voices DO call from the kitchen, their message ISN'T truly demonic. :)

I found this really good bread that is really good for you too! It's call Flat Out Wraps. They are made with 100% whole wheat. The sundried tomato one is wonderfull and there is only 90 cal. for one flatbread and it has 9 grams of fiber! So the next time the kitchen devils start calling, arm your self with something good for you and yummy! :)
Boy do I ever know what you mean! Lucky for me, I live alone and have total control of what comes into the house. I don't know how I'd handle it if there were goodies in the pantry!
What is the nutritianal value of a kitchen devil? Maybe grab one or two of them?
*snickers*
Tomato on wheat bread isn't too bad is it? Sounds good right about now! LOL!
Chewing gum as I reply... Gotta agree with those that say a sample of the poison may just keep the kitchen devils at bay. A clean sweep is always best - feels GREAT to do it WHILE you're stomping the devils down.
I don't have ktichen devils, but there's this band of gypsies that physically dragged me to Birraporetti's this weekend and I was all, "No, I don't want to eat the whipped garlic butter and bread, it's bad for me" and they were all, "Eat it or we'll give you the evil eye" and the EVIL EYE IS REALLY BAD, so I ate it and they went away and I was all, "Phew... glad that's over" but then they made me have a quesadilla at lunch and now you know I have good reasons to distrust all gypsies.
FIN.
FIN.
at least your kitchen devils tell you to eat tomatoes....mine stuffed candy corn and dried pineapple into my mouth! :)
ROTFL @ this post. Okay, so I don't have kitchen devils because I don't cook (I know it's sad) but I do have restaurant devils whom I think work in the their kitchens. My technique may not be good for someone else but it works for me. If I am having a huge craving I satisfy it! And after I'm done I see how many if any calories I have left. If I have some left over I use them sensibly. Most of my craving don't exceed my daily calorie allowance. Well there is Starbucks!!!
You're giving it way too much power.
