Good title HK.  Good morning, how are you today?

Well I finally got my hot tub fixed and it's back up to temp.  :-)

*goes to lonestar's house tonight*

I am Cold. I am FREAKIN' COLD!

That is how I am.

And not awake.

Hey, at least its not raining today.

Its so cold in my house now the cats have a truce. They are both sleeping in the bed with me.

Hello

Morning all. How is everyone?

I was thinking Chat had started early today but then I remembered our clocks went back an hour over the weekend so whilst it's now 11ish it used to be 12ish.

Hi Kim, Rocky.  I am sorry that you guys on the East coast are so cold, it was just miserable over the weekend.  I hope you don't get the high winds that we had.  Over 60mph.

Heya Steph, long time.

It's so freakin' cold, I took my Winter Jacket to work today.

Me too. Have had to de-ice the car every day this week. We're forecast snow at the weekend wgich is way too early for England

Hi ((Rocky))!  How are things going?

It was really windy yesterday. Parts of Maryland got snow.

I hate the snow and cold and rain and wind. Think I'm probably living in the wrong country but at least there's no real poisonous animals over here

I'm no fan of snow and ice either. I can drive in it if I have to without freaking, but... meh.

I won't drive in ice and I try not to drive in snow. I'm not as nervous about driving in snow as I used to be.

Driving in Ice is risky, for everyone. I hate doing it. :p I remember last year, just after a big ice storm going up 495 and seeing accidents where cars had SLAMMED against the barriers on BOTH sides of the 495.

When driving on Ice - 1) Go slow 2) Avoid areas that pick up wind (list most highways) - 3) If you MUST drive on a highway, go slow, keep 6-8 car lengths between you and the car in front of you and STAY TO THE RIGHT

One other rule I have taught my daughers when teaching them to drive in the winter in Iowa.  If there is snow on the shoulder do not use your cruise.  With all the trees and shaded areas it's not unusual to hit ice suddenly or to have the wind get you when you come past a grove of trees.

Um.. yeah, I wouldn't use Cruise when it was raining either. You need CONTROL under less than perfect circumstances.

Or take the bus. Laughing

The bus/Metro IS good for really bad situations. I did that a couple times last year.

I'm pleased I don't drive. Just close my eyes and hope C doesn't crash or some other driver doesn't run into us. Same when I'm on the bus. Our council is quite good a getting the roads gritted quickly so most of the main ones tend to remain clear

Aloha, chatters :)
