I eat different stuff every day now, so i cant give a schedual of what i eat, but i KNOW i go over 23,ooo calories.. or even 25,ooo..
and i KNOW i eat fatty food too... like yesterday, i had egg mc muffin for breakfast and 3 pizza for dinner (i got sick but w/e.) and i dont eat like that every day but i do eat "period giving fatty food" too.... and i have a handful of nuts.
**i do run 1 or 2 miles every day...b ut thats not much at all... 10-20 min only..
why did i loose my period?!?!?!? i havent had it for about half a year now. its scarry!
why?!?!?!?!
and even if i DO recover, will i still be able to be a normal woman?
Hi there are quite a few reasons why your period would stop. Did you go to the Dr about it?
i just went a few weeks ago and lied b/c i didnt want it to be a big deal..
honestly, i DID get my period... but they were SO SMALL... like only for1 sec. literally. and it'd be gone.......... and even that doest happen until like 3 months...
and that happened 2 weeks bfore i went to the dr's so i pretended it was normal..
big mistake i bet..... right? :*(.. i dont want to go back looking like aliar though...
what could the reasons be?
i mostly want to know if i can still be a normal woman though....
you can still be normal, dont worry.
id suggest going back to the doctor and being honest. he/she wont think youre a lier. just be honest why you didnt tell them, and say you became concerned and knew it was something to check out so came back. they wont give you a hard time for it at all-and theyll help!
sounds like youre eating enough variety-exercise doesnt seem excessive either. are you-ahem-possibly pregnant? even if you take the pill or use a condom there is still a chance of malfunction. it might be a good idea to check at the pharmacy for a pregnancy test. if you were pregnant then the slight 5 secondbleeding would just be normal-it happens to many women.
but if youre not pregnant then something is out of wack. id suggest seeing your doctor again. good luck! (and remember you will be ok once it resumes :)
is that a typo?
considering that a pound = 3500, and you are eating 23000-25000??, you must be extremely overweight... thats like enough to make you gain 5lbs a day, and most people could not physically eat that much...
:S
How much do you weigh?
I only ask this because I stopped having periods when I got over 220 lbs and started it back up again when I got down under 195. Are you really eating 23,000 calories in a day?
I agree with thyme go back to the Dr they will just be pleased that you did, believe me you are not the only one who has done that. I can't answer if you will still be a normal woman only the Dr can do that for you so please go back sooner rather than later it will put your mind at ease.
Best of luck Ann
Add-in: this may give you some reasons for them stopping scroll down the page as the top part is about them stopping after coming off the pill.
thankss guyss. and yeah, it was a typo.. didnt knotice that XD
I would tell my doctor if the doctor wasnt a friend of my parents.... i think i'll just look for another doctor... but thats easier said than dome :|?
nooo i'm not preggers :P
so i must be "out of wack"... haha.
i guess the doctors is the only answer left.... or my mom......
just cant wait till i get it back though (and i cant believe i'm saying this)
Fink....sorry that you can't get the answer you are looking for but it's a difficult one as I said there are many reasons that may have caused it.
Even if the Dr is a friend of your parents they are sworn to confidentiality if they were to say anything they could be struck off, but I realise it maybe uncomfortable to speak about something like that with them. Can you go to something like a walk in "well women clinic?" nothing to do with the Dr over here it's nurses who run it.

Are you very active? My niece lost her periods after becoming very active because her bmi drop below what it should be. Seeing a DR is your best choice, and just b/c the DR is friends w/your parents it does not change patient privileges, so I would make another appointment and be honest. Most DR understand people fear what they are unaware of and won't judge you.
Good LUCK

I have not had a period since January and before that I only got one about every 3 months. I've talked to both my gyno and my family doctor about this and they are not concerned. I exercise almost everyday, but I still eat around 2,000-2,300 calories a day.....more on the weekends. They both said it's normal for an athletic person like myself to go for months without a period. I don't know if that is the case for you because I'm not sure of your stats, but I thought I would give you my scenario so it doesn't seem so scary to you. Good luck!
I haven't had my period since August of 2007 and I went to go see my OBGYN and she said that once I loose 25 pounds or more, that my period will come back. At that point I was 265 pounds and she said that once women meet a certain weight, their bodies see ovulation as a bad thing so it stops it. Every woman's threshold is different. I am currently 256 pounds and my period just started coming back this month.
Your doctor can also prescribe you something to force your period on. My doctor said that not having your period is a bad thing because your uterus walls continue to build up those layers that are not being shed when you do have your period.
Once my period did come, it was TERRIBLE! I couldn't control the bleeding or anything. My period lasted for two weeks. I wish I had gone to see the doctor earlier. My period stopped in August 2007 and I finally saw my doctor in April 2008.
My other fear was not being able to have kids because of this and the doctor said that I will be perfectly fine once I loose the weight and I will still be able to have kids.
My mom and I have the same OBGYN and my mom never knew this was going on until I told her. She even went to see the doctor the same week I did. I would not worry about the doctory telling your mom. Legally, they can not do that.
My advice would to be honest with your doctor and go she him or her.
