hi there everyone=]
i was wondering, when you overeat how many calories your body burns, where do those calories go?
i dont think they go RIGHT to your butt, of course.
so what happens to them till you see a weight increase?

actually, when you eat, you automatically gain the weight of the food you just ate, simply because it is combining with your body and sitting first in the stomach, intestines, etc.  You simply pee and poop out the bulk that you don't use as either energy or store as fat.
Ya know, when I eat sweets, I actually think it DOES go straight to my butt! LOL!
too funny, carrie
Cookie, we are about the same age. What are your goals?
you autogain?
but it doesnt automatically turn into flab right??
no flab straight away.  The body stores sugar as glycogen before turning it into fat- it's the short term storage, where as fat is the longterm storage under lock an key. If there is excess energy (aka cals) after the body uses all it needs and storing some short term, the remainder is converted into fat.... It has been about a year since my nutrition class, so I know I left out a bit, but this should semi-help.
I was just kidding pansy. I always joke that if I walk by a bakery I gain 5 pounds! I AM A SUGAR ADDICT! I wish there was a 12 step program!
