i am going to be in the Miss New York Teen USA beauty pageant and everything is okay except my thighs and butt! They are huge! I need help! Any suggestions?

plenty of cardio and leg press and squats, and leg extensions and leg curls

i am a firm beleaver in squats and lunges.
I was under the impression that lunges and squats make the area more defined..meaning if it's big and flabby, doing these will still make it big, and more muscular not less.... 'Course I could be wrong...

I too carry my weight in my thighs and butt. I have been doing both squates and lunges(only my own body weight) and cardio. i do the weights 3 times a week (just 2 -3 different leg exercises) and do cardio 5 times a week. Although my legs are still my obnoxious point they are steadily improving getting both leaner and tighter. You may see a little bulk at first but if you keep up with the cadio it will slim down. It is like the muscle behind the fat that happens in your abs when you do too many sit-ups without cardio.
To slim down the butt/thighs, I think long distance running would help.
