Share your measurements!  (if you want to)

mine are 54cm that is 21.3 inches and they're HUGE! Especially because i'm only 5'3 and 117lbs.
I guess i'm helplessy pear shaped. I'm in a normal weight range and i could be contented with my bmi of 21 but my legs are so big compared to the rest of my body.
Well having just done my measurments this morning I can say that my thighs are shrinking but oh so very slowly
I am 5' 3" and I weigh 143lb
thighs mearsure 22"or 56cm

Ack..the last time I checked my thighs were 22' and that's a lot for someone who's only 5'2.

Love your thighs, ladies.  Nothing wrong with 22 inch thighs... I'm 5'6, 140 lbs, weight train 2x a week and do cardio at least 4 hours a week.  I feel like I'm in shape, but do like my food.  We can't all be supermodels.  Stop obsessing!
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 122 lbs
Thighs: 21.5-22"

^ disporportional thighs. Trying to slim them down :p
Edit: It's not so much that they are big (which I realize now), they're just disporportional. Like, my lower legs are good, but my thighs are really big. It just looks funny on me

Let see.... considering the fact that I used my ipod connection cable & ruler to measure (LOL), my thighs come out to be about 20"-21".

Oh. & I'm 5'6"(ish) at 125 lbs.
I blame those wide hips of mine. ):

A lot of people have been saying that doing cardio has helped slim their thighs down, but all that has done for me is bulk up my calves.
Hopefully your results will be better than mine. :O
Hello!

I'm 5'7" and I weigh 166lbs.

I'm a fattie but I'm trying to change.

My thighs are 24 and a half inches.

GASP! Huge.

I cried a little.

I'm 5'4-5'5ish and my tape measurements for my thighs are 18" i feel like mine are huge, your's sound fine though. your bmi sounds perfect.
yeah, well...i'm 5'9" and 170lbs. my thighs are 26 and it sucks. i would at least like for them to be about 22. that's all i really want. i'm a medium frame so i'm guessing that's okay. my waist is somewhere around 28 1/2 to 29. and my thighs are right near that size. i'd really like it for my waist to be a 26 and my thighs to be about 22.
Hello

I am 5' 1.5" and have 20 inch thighs. My waist is 27 -which seems like it is big for my height,,,,,,,,,,,,it seems the more i work out the more weight I gain and the bigger my thighs get.

22 inches ! UGH

how do you find out how many inches each body part should be for ur size??
Update - mine are down to 19". And they're not going to get any lower, unfortunately. I think they'd look a lot better if the fatty layer over them wasn't so dang loose, but maybe it will tighten up over time.

shwaytha - there's tons of variation from person to person, since everybody has different muscle structures (partly genetic, partly based on which activities one does regularly), and carries fat in different places. One can't really say that at (X) height and (Y) weight one should have a certain measurement of (Z), because so many things can make it higher or lower for an individual.
update from me too!

i agree with undertherainbow on the elliptical.

squats bulk me up though. (tend to be muscular though)
those do seem to work really well for people that dont have the muscle bulking tendency."

now 135 and less bloating up to the 140s -

i'm 5'5 and 103 lbs, and my theighs are still 19 inches
they look so massive compared to the rest of my body :/

All of you guys are lucky. I wish mine touched. I have 18" thighs. BAH!

I am 35, currently 158 lbs, 5'9".  The measurements below are from 9 days of dieting and working out with no weight loss.  When I originally measured I thought I would only measure every month but when the scale was failing me I had to know if I had lost inches - and I did.  As you can see my thighs were one of the measurements that decreased over that time frame.

I would definitely recommend yoga for anyone wanting to loose inches in their arms and legs.  I have been pleasantly surprised the difference in the toning and the feeling of all of my extremities.

Yoga is the best!!  i don't get into the spiritual side of it and stuff but it is an awesome workout for those legs - stretching is a good thing!!

8/10/08 - 8/19/08 - Difference

Hips:  41.75" - 41.25" - decrease 0.5"

Waist:  32.0" - 30.0" - decrease 2.0"

Under bust: 28.0" - 31.5" - increase 3.5" I must have measured wring the first time!

L wrist:  6.75" - 6.75" - same

R wrist:  6.75" - 6.75" - same

L thigh:  25.0" - 24.5" - decrease 0.5"

R thigh:  25.0" - 24.25" - decrease 0.75"

L upper arm:  12.0" - 12.0" - same

R upper arm:  12.25" - 12.25" - same

NEW MEASUREMENTS AS OF 08/19/08

Bust:  39.0"

Belly:  35.75"

let's see..

I am 35 (had 4 kids). I am lean (considering) and wear a size 12 heading for a 10 quickly.

I am 5'5  & I weigh 174 (this week), I am still loosing. I started out at 227 in May 08.

my thighs are 23" they were 29"

my waist is 35 (was 43) my hips are 42 (was 53).

Above my knee 16"

ankle 8"

bicep 14" -mine are huge and I need to loose about 4-5" I have big muscle though.

I am 5" 0 currently at 100-102. My thighs at the "thickest" point are 18.75'. I am aiming for at least 18 or better yet 17.5  but that is to come from working out not weightloss.
