I don't have sound on my work computer so I can't hear the interview, but from what I'm gathering from the other posts is that this celebrity who most people would regard as "hot" is insecure about her looks/weight? Is this right?

If this is the case, I can totally see it. I mean, look at all these tabloids that seem like they're just waiting to pounce on a celebrity at the beach with a few extra pounds, or getting out of a car drunk and disheveled, or any other random imperfection. One bad hair day is fodder for gossip 'round the world.

There's an art opening and a book release party after work so I probably won't be able to post more specific thoughts on what she has to say till late. But the jist of it is I can completely see why celebrities would be anxious about that stuff, now matter how beautiful they actually appear.

Okay, constructive comment: admittedly yes, she took all the fun and life out of that interview. But I can understand WHY she'd be insecure: as has been said celebrity is like being on a stage and celebrities get pulled apart by the media. So I can understand her insecurity - but she would have done SO much better to smile, be positive and keep her shoulders back through the interview while being honest instead of being so down. She makes ME feel insecure. Jeez.

is she not the same celebrity who's "diet" for losing weight for a role is "just not eating"?

Pretty much all celebrities are overrated. Let's face it. :P

I think the most talented actors out there are very underrated which is kind of sad. They basically stick to the Barbie doll ones to keep over publicizing..or the ones who are in the tabliods for wrong reasons for doing something stupid or other.

As they say though there is no *bad* publicity.

Maybe she really does feel that way about herself..Who knows? I don't really follow her career though I know who she is. She's just not one of my favs. It's good to have humble people though. I just find it funny she insults herself, but throws in that she has a 22 in. waist that most women would kill for. That's like saying "I look like sh**...but I have the DD boobs that gets me into all the men's magazines." Or whatever. Lmao.

I agree though Salma Hayek is amazing and always has her girls out..LMAO..but if she has them why not flaunt them? She's my girlie crush. :P

 so true.  she did seem like she was trying to be funny, but that doesnt mean it was.  a lot of the time, the jokes people tell are more revealing than the so called truth they tell.
