WOW, I'm actually too lazy to do the same list but CONGRATULATIONS on these BIG changes!! It really will change your life! Continue the good work and BRAVO for the 15 lbs!!!!KEEP GOING GIRL!!!

I've changed a lot of the same things you have. I was never a huge fan of mayo, so I just stopped eating it altogether. I've had a little fast food since I started the diet, but I've been smart about it: I never buy fried anything and I'll get a burger without cheese.

I'm eat much more fish now, being that it's low in fat and very high in protein, and since I'm into strength training high protein is a must. I'm also eating much more fiber with oats and grains and legumes. I didn't know until recently that beans have almost twice the fiber of oatmeal.

The thing I'm proudest of is limiting my sugar consumption. I've done a lot of research and sugar is one of the number one reasons people gain weight so easily.

I've always been one for exercise, so nothing really has changed in my regimens, but because of my change in diet my exercising actually yields results! I'm starting to see muscle definition and I'm losing weight much easier.

My list keeps growing !!

That is a huge list of improvements, GREAT job!!

I eat whole grains now. (chips, crackers, pasta, bread, etc.)

I eat luna bars :)

I eat carrots

I actually drink water!

Cutting out artificial sweetner (splenda, aspartme stuff)

I eat much more lean meat

Much more I am sure I just can't think of!

Where can you find Luna bars???

Luna bars are in the health food section of most grocery stores, or wherever they have "athletic" food like Power Bars. They're a good quick snack but probably have as many calories and sugar as a candy bar. The lemon ones are tasty.

Mmm I like the lemon ones too, but only have them if i am literally running out the door and can't have a real breakfast, or am stuck somewhere I an't get healthy food....because they are 180 cals (4.5g of fat, 10g protein, 26 carbs 2 fibre) they are for emergency only, as far as I am concerned. Also I find them a bit too sweet and wish they had slightly less sugar...I tried making them once and failed dismally :)

As for things I have changed....

1. I always choose low-fat options and use much less butter and oil when cooking

2. I find creative ways to cook that use healthy choices

3. If I have to eat out, I order stuff with no cheese, no mayo, nothing fried, etc...not being afraid to ask for customizing

4. I am honest with myself about what i am eating and record it vigilantly

5. I exercise

6. I excercise control; portion control that is

7. I look at food as a challenge to create healthy AND yummy meals, not one or the other

8. I have stopped eating candy. I miss it. I loved jujubees and other gummy candies, but I have NO control and end up eating a ton, so I avoid it completely, better off that way. I think it's the only thing I have had to restrict myself from completely.

9. When I shop for groceries, I get really excited about trying new things and buy stuff like bulgur wheat and parsnips. There was a time that I was only excited by stuff like nacho cheese and ice cream. My how things have changed.

good for you!

i have lost over 30 pounds since january. changes...

- no white pasta, only ate white bread once

- much more veg

- food prepared at home

-ess fat

- no chips

- cheese: yes but in moderation

- not binging on unhealthy food

- more energy

-more optimism!!!

OH NO! hehe I love luna bars, and while they taste like candy bars :), they have less calories, full of stuff you need, and not as much sugar! See:

Luna bars: about 180 calories, 2-3 g fat, 15-17 g sugar

Snickers Candy Bar: 271 calories, 13.6 g fat, 28.8 g sugar

Milky Way Candy Bar: 260 calories, 10 g fat, 35.1 g sugar

LUNA BARS all the way! :)
