I have a spice cake mix, would that work the same way?

I think so, Lonestar.  You can use any boxed mix and you substitute pumpkin for the oil and eggs.  Kind of the same concept as using applesauce, but I've read that the pumpkin doesn't affect the final taste as much.

I was thining of trying spice cake mix too. Actually, I wouldn't say they were more dense than normal muffins. Maybe very little. I think Tucker likes pumkin because he was trying to get them. He loves the Kashi pumpkin flax spice bars. I give him the crumbs.

I may have to try that.  Kim, how many calories did you count for your muffins then?

Wha? Count calories? I'm not keeping track. Can I get back to you on that one? I'm sure its on the recipe. I know one muffin counts as 2 WW points.

I was just reminded that I have a meeting at 1pm.

I just seached for a recipe like yours and they added a 1/2 cup water and made 24 muffins.  It came out to 100 calories per muffin, which generally averages 2 WW points.

The recipe I have is for 12 regular muffins or 36 mini. I would think the 24 would be small. I guess it depends on how the water effects the volume.

I think I will play with this.  My daughter and I both are on CC and My husband loves treats.
