Morning, Split. :)

Props for getting SEALs spelling right. A rarity, in my experience. :)

16, 14 and 10.

and very self-sufficient.  I know that's a good thing...we raise them to leave, but I did TOO good a job I think!

Our son is 35, and he needs us every bit as much now as he did then.  Only for different things.  In spite of the "raging hormones", your kids are at a great age!  I found the hardest years were when our son was in university - we missed that day-to-day interaction (and the bills were significantly higher!)

we are looking at colleges now...our oldest is a junior and has just 1 year left at home...I will miss the day to day...she tells me everything...from when she walks in the doors to school until I get home from work...this includes what people said in the hall and EVERYTHING...she LOVES to talk :-)

your son is 35?  you are 45...I knew he was your partner's biological, but didn't know his age...was it hard being that close in age?  you have been with your partner for a while now haven't you so you were there for a lot of the growing up years...(am I being too nosey?  sorry if I am...) I think that happens a lot with step families...one of my friends is just 11 years younger then his step father too...

*fakes terrible agony*  ;)

Ahhhh thank you, Kathy.  *pulls her SEAL into the naughty corner*

Morning Split :)  How on earth are you old enough to have a son my age?!

Edit: Oh duh...didn't consider he may be your partner's, and your partner may be older.  Nevermind. :D

Edit Edit: OR...Split was just da man at age 10.  ;-P

Hi Split! I was wondering too about your sons age. I thought you were close to my age.

*sits with Kae waiting for answers*

Curious minds want to know.

Sheesh, leave it to Split to dangle the carrot of scandal in front of our faces and then just walk away.

:-P~

*sneaks in*

morning Carrie :)  morning behbeh :)

Hi Carrie!

Well, the cashier at my Shoppers is in his 50's and his partner is like 27. I got all the dirt on him. And they have been together for 8 years. So would he be a cougar? Or is that just for women?

Doc appointment tonight - I think E will finally get to hear his evil spawn's heartbeat.  Laughing

LOL!  It's a common question!  My partner and I will celebrate our 27th anniversary in February - our son moved in full time shortly after we got together.  There were challenges at first - being an 18 year old "adult" with an 8 year old kid didn't exactly come easily, but once the roles were established, it was great.  If anything, his teenage years were made easier because we are close in age.

Yay! Carrie! E!

And - since you're all dying to know but too polite to ask - my partner just turned 66.

27 years!  Congratulations! :)

Yay Carrie!  I'm picturing hearing the heartbeat, followed by a teeny little evil cackle.

Let's just say that I did some "living" in my teens, and was ready to settle down by 18.

Dude.

We have an employee named Dung.  Not Duong, which is pretty common.

No.  Dung.

*falls over giggling*

As long as his last name isn't Pile.....
