you were 18!  WOW...I thought I was young at 21...

Let's just say that I did some "living" in my teens, and was ready to settle down by 18.

Thats a lot of living in a short time.

I love hearing about relationships that last. Renews my faith in humanity. :)

Settling down young restores faith in humanity?

Well - the immoral horn-dawg you've come to know and love isn't based on fiction!   LOL!

If you can make it work for 27 years, it does. But then I'm probably far too subjective.

Actually, no ... but I'm not going to say what it is.  Laughing

Isn't it the length of time the relationship lasts that renews the faith, rather than the ages of the couple at the beginning, then? :D

2 years are every bit as relevant as 27 years.  Relationships are about quality, not quantity.

It beats the first name of Ikea I saw yesterday.

Was the middle name a picture of a stick figure holding an allen key?

Middle name - assembly required. Tongue out

Ah, I see. You are correct. I didn't need to hit the 'quote' button to make that statement. Sorry, Doc. :)

Nah.  They're about quantity.  Whoever has the most wins.

but when you can match quanity WITH quality in a relationship, it's amazing...

B and I often wonder why we are still so happy after 18 years together...we did a lot of what "experts" say we shouldn't...got engaged and married quickly...never lived together first...never went away for even a weekend...never even slept together before the wedding...and to be honest, we have one of the best marriages I know.  I am very blessed I know, but I often wonder why ours works when so many don't?

HI again.  Kae, I think a lot of times you both have to want it to work, and you constantly strive to make it the best it can be.   My husband is 15 years older than me and we've both been married previously and we work on making this relationship the best it can be.  We don't want to start over again.
