Things that make you feel good on bad days

Quote  |  Reply

We all have those days where we eat something (or a lot of something) that we shouldn't, or we don't exercise when we should, or didn't meet some other personal expectation.

I found one of my work uniforms from 2 years ago in my closet and put on the pants just for kicks, without holding them up they fall to the ground.  I'll have to keep these under my bed for days I'm not feeling good :P.

Anybody else have anything they like to use to remind themselves of how far they've come?

I guess along the lines of weight loss, I'd look at "before" pictures. Pretty effective.

When I'm depressed, in the general sense, cute animal pictures/videos (in lieu of kidnapping the neighbor's dog) do a really good job of perking me up. I don't know, it just makes me smile!

I'm partial to puppies :)

I hug my dog, and take him for a nice long walk.  I remind myself that no matter how big I am, how many zits pop up that day, or what I ate, my dog adores me, and wants nothing more than to be WITH me, doing anything.  Making him happy, makes me happy, which makes me take care of myself :)

i put on some heels, get dressed up and go to the mall.

i love all the looks and compliments I get... it makes me feel really good about myself
