Things got rough...but I want back in...

Quote  |  Reply

I stopped coming here in January of this year.  I put myself on the back burner.  Last year I got pregnant and then had my 3rd miscarriage.  Then my Dad got sick and died.  I was still trying to hang.  I had gained back 18 lbs but could hang.  In January of this year I realized that my husband wasn't being a jerk but was verbally abusing me.  By the middle of January, I had injured my ankle and couldn't walk on my treadmill, heck, could barely walk to the kitchen.  I kind of just shut down.  I didn't care about losing weight, nothing...

Well, now it is September.  In May my ankle finally got better.  One the 27th my Dad will be gone a year.  It has been over a year since the baby...and a month ago I stood up to my husband and told him there was the door.  He decided he would get help and so far he is doing better.

I need to get myself back on my feet and start this whole thing over.  Yesterday I weighed 272, which means I gained back another 27 lbs, or 45 lbs total, since last summer.

I need to get on here.  I need to see you all doing this.  I need to put myself first again...I want back into the group...  Please....

Oh, I know this tune well. I played it myself when my mom passed on two Christmases ago.

The good news is... you CAN get back on track and this site can certainly help you do that.

So.. welcome back. :) Hope you find what you're looking for here. :)

Like they say, things always get worse before they get better. Sounds like you went through the worst already. I'm so sorry for your losses and the troubles you went through during those times. I also congratulate you for taking control of things now. It's so easy sometimes to not act, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Good luck on your quest and we're here for ya'.

Sounds like you're an emotional eater.  That got me in trouble too.  I heard a tip that was one of the best things I've EVER heard.  If you say to yourself, "I FEEL like having . . . " that's a que that you're getting ready to eat due to emotional stress.

I try to do something else now when that happens.  I hope this tip helps you get started on your way back to a happier healthier you!
