they say i'll get diebeties? thats a lie.. right?

Having an eating disorder is a lot more than just how you look.  Do you obsess about food,  think about what you ate that day over and over again.  Do you hate your body and think you are too fat?   I don't see any of this from you.   Your measurements sound okay to me too.  If you think you need to gain a little weight than go for it, I mean you are on the thin side so you can afford to gain a little.  Use the tools on this site to figure out how much you should be eating and start getting some exercise.   Its your body and you have to be happy with it, who cares what other people think!

WOOO

you made me feel wonderful :D

but why do i feel so skinny?
maybe its just my hands,...

can someone have naturally bony looking fingers?.... they're not suppose to have lines comming down from the knuckles b/c of bone is it?....

w/e...

agana, your post was good enough to satisfy me..... :D

Fink - basically, it's up to you. Ask yourself the following questions

  1. Am I comfortable at this weight?
  2. Do I feel full/satisfied with my current intake?
  3. Would I feel better if I weighed more/looked fuller
  4. Who am I doing this for?
If you answered No to the first two and yes for the third one, set yourself weight gain goals or muscle building goals. The question to answer 4 should be "I'm doing this for me" - if it isn't, you need to rethink your motives. Ultimately, YOU are the one that has to feel good about YOU. It doesn't matter what others think, only what you believe.

Best of luck xx

I too have naturally bony looking fingers. I'm happy with my current weight, but my hands are quite small and bony looking, so don't worry, it's not just you :) I agree with agana, you only have an eating disorder if you have an unhealthy relationship with food and obsess about what you eat and constantly try to lose more weight. Some people are just naturally skinny. I was like this when I was younger, but now my metabolism has caught up with me a bit... :/

As for your body shape, it sounds like you have an hourglass figure because you go out then in then out.

I used to weigh 107 at 5'2 and looked good but was pretty tiny, you may feel better at 110-113 pounds thats my goal

cause i gained a bunch of weight :( Iim in the high 120s now Cry

this thread is a joke right?

??????

I've had the boniest hands my entire life at any weight.

And I agree with minie13

I hate ignorance.

yeah i agree with swimchick_123 and minie13, anorexia is NOT a word you should go throwing around, its not a fashion statement sugar, its a serious illness, its a deadly illness.

some people clearly have ehh, no respect or consideration? being blunt and honest here.

In my opinion anorexia is primarily a mental disease.  Starvation is an effect of a bigger problem.  Anorexia doesnt mean skinny. You cant be "too" anorexic. You can be too skinny, and if you think you are, you need to eat more.  Anorexia CAN mean messing up your body, heart problems, freezing all the time, hair loss, loss of menstruation, infertility, possibility of kidney/liver failure, dry skin, osteoperosis, muscle loss, poor circulation, infertility, depression, weakness, fatigue, low body temperature, seizures, anemia, dehydration, lanugo(excess hair),heart attacks and even death.  Thats only the physical effects.  Im not even gonna start on the mental effects, but they are endless. You said you do still eat, but what about your frame of mind?  Do you obsess over calories or worry about every bite you take? Its more about how you feel I guess.  I know its very complicated.  But I hope I helped:) Now that I scared myself to death, I think Ill go eat.
I wouldn't go by what people tell you. People on the street would tell me that I should model when I was 100 lbs at 6'0" and half dead. A lot of people have an unhealthy thought of the 'perfect body' but don't display anorexic symptoms. It's just the media.

If you are naturally that thin and you don't restrict yourself, I wouldn't worry about it. Some people are just naturally lighter. If you wanted to get to an actual better weight, you could try lifting weights to build some muscle.

you're not anorexic. your weight is actually right in the healthy range with your height...on the low side, but still healthy. if your bmi is low, lower than 17.5, then you're anorexic..or classified as one, :) hope this helps.

what a silly silly question.........honestly. swim chick i dont think ignorance....i think stupidity.

come on.."boney fingers....am i anorexic"....google the symptoms n signs of anorexia...and then ask on a site where u wont cause such anger and ire from SUFFERERS of it.

thats what ppl do...they suffer....

Guys, I don't think you should jump on the OP. Some people think anorexic means "too thin." It's actually not that uncommon a mistake.

that doesnt seem anorexic at all. trust your friends.

You're not anorexic. I'm your height, 5'2'' and just pushing 95 pounds, on a weight gain diet. I'm about to drop back to 90, and it's all in my head, a mental disease, i know it, but it's so hard to fight it. You're eating more than triple my daily intake, you're not anorexic. Be happy that you can have that body and still be healthy.

thats wondeful 11 october.. unfortunately the post is a year old.

its pointless dragging up old posts. the issue is clearly resolved

anorexia is a mental disease... When i had an ED i was socially withdrawn from friends and family because i never wanted to go out anywhere for fear of having to eat something out of my "norm". at my thinnest i still felt fat. it is a sickness. if you are thin but eat and think normally about food and your body (despite having bony hands) then chances are you do not have anorexia.

OK fidget, I'm sorry, I didn't realize, and obviously, I'm not the only one, as jenny posted too. Obviously you have some sort of issue with me, and I'm not sure what, or how it could have developed so rapidly.
