Just when I thought I had it figured out :(

I think I might have a problem, but I'm not sure!  Any insight will help.  The CC website says that I should be eating 1200 calories to lose 1-2lbs/week.  Of course after reading through all of the forums....that is way too low.  I looked up all activities that I do throughout the day and I have it down to that I burn 2223 a day and that is not counting any exercise.   I don't really add that to the equation because my exercises (maybe 3x/week) only burn about 200 calories.  So, with that said, I would assume that I can eat around 1700 per day and still lose weight, right?  I don't weigh myself because I don't think the scale really determines anything (constantly flucuating).  I usually measure myself, but haven't noticed any real difference in the last few weeks.  I think my clothes are loser and I really feel great!  After reading some more posts......I am beginning to think that 1700 calories a day is WAY too much for me!   I am confused I guess.  What do you all think?  I know I have to figure this out with my body, but I want to make sure that I am not way off here!
STATS:

age 28, 5'3" and currently....143lbs

EDIT:  I probably should've and will post in the weightloss forum....SORRY!

Using the BMR calculator and setting you to Lightly active I get that your BMR is 1442 and that to have a deficit of 500 calories a day you should eat 1500 calories per day.  Don't go below the 1442 as this will slow your metabolism.  1700 is not bad because your maintenance calories are 1980 for you current height and weight.  So you will lose weight on 1700 just a little slower than you may want.  Hope this helps!
