Thoughts on Hookah?
So I'm about to head out to a hookah bar for the first time ever, and I was just wondering what all of you wonderful people think about it. Love it, hate it, never tried it? I'm pretty excited because a bunch of my friends at school have tried it, but I never have! I'm basically just hoping I don't make a fool out of myself, lol.
I'll let you know how it went when I get back :).
I really liked smoking from a hooka. If I had enough money I would buy myself one. The tobacco is alot different then ciggie tobacco too.
Can't wait to see how you liked it!
Yea.. smoking is smoking. It's not good for you. No matter what you use, it's still inhaling a lot of toxins into your lungs; and, no it's not that different than cigarettes at least in terms of what it actually contains (I'm in tobacco research).
I hate it. It makes me so physically sick I can barely move. The sheisha that you smoke with it made me so terribly ill. I will never smoke it again. I had bought a hookah and got all sorts of flavors to smoke. I sold it all
i actually thought it was pretty fun. My favorite flavors are strawberry and green apple. Peach is pretty good too, but I'd stay away from coconut. It made me feel sick.
Hookah is not something I'd do very often...maybe once a year, but it is fun. Makes me drink a TON of water though!
smoking is smoking, too many ciggies u will feel sick, same with hooka, everything in moderation.... it's easy to get carried away with it cause it tastes pretty good but if ur a non-smoker and not used to the nicotine take it easy. otherwise it's lots of fun : )
it's super fun. have a good time!
After watching my mother die a horrible death from cancer (that had spread to her lungs), I have no interest in any form of tobacco use or smoking. (Not that I ever did.)
Sheisha is tobacco free which all hooka places sell. Its actually molasses. so no worries about cancer people
Sharing a hookah may increase the risk of transmission of tuberculosis, viruses such as herpes or hepatitis, and other illnesses.1
Have a great time..lol I like to get my herpes the old fashioned way!
jesus, you not going to get herpes, or cancer, you just going to sit around smoke the junk and chit chat.
people people people.......
I like it, especially apricot tobacco.

According to the CDC you can. Not that we all haven't done things that may or may not cause us harm. I am just merely sharing my thoughts, which happen to be in line with the CDC..lol :)

It's a myth that hookah smoking is safer than smoking cigarettes. The tobacco is no less toxic. Hookah smokers actually inhale more tobacco smoke than do cigarette smokers because of the massive volume of smoke they inhale.
Hookah — also called narghile, shisha and goza — is a water pipe. The device has been used for centuries in the Middle East and Asia to smoke tobacco.
When a smoker inhales through the tube, a pressure difference forces air past the heating source and heats the tobacco, which gives off smoke. The smoke is pulled away from the tobacco and passes through the water and into the smoke chamber — from which it is inhaled by the smoker.
Although many believe that the water in the hookah filters out all the "bad stuff" in the tobacco smoke, this isn't true. According to a World Health Organization advisory, a typical one-hour session of hookah smoking exposes the user to 100 to 200 times the volume of smoke inhaled from a single cigarette. Even after passing through water, tobacco smoke still contains high levels of toxic compounds, including carbon monoxide, heavy metals and cancer-causing chemicals (carcinogens). Hookah smoking also delivers significant levels of nicotine — the addictive substance in tobacco.
The trend of hookah smoking has doctors and public health experts concerned because — despite claims to the contrary by many users — smoking from a hookah is just as dangerous as smoking cigarettes.
HAVE FUN.

If you haven't realized already, there are dangers WITH EVERYTHING YOU DO! Honestly, we can pretty much die from everything in excess. lol. I would suggest you just enjoy the experience! I personally love grape!

I love burnt food. Ecspecially burnt bratwurst and poptarts.
Don't love tobacco.
Your right they are completely differant hehe
Well I just got back and it was pretty fun...I wish I had time to read your advice before I went though because I smoked too much and I was kind of nauseous for a little while. We got apple and it didn't taste as strong as I expected, but they offered to let us have apple juice instead of water so maybe that would have made it better. The place was really chill though and they played good music, so that was cool.
Schnooder, the stuff that we smoked was actually flavored tobacco, not molasses. It actually gave me a little buzz because I never smoke, lol.
As far as getting diseases from sharing one, they gave us little covers for it so I think that would take care of it.
Definitely not something I would do often, but I'm glad I tried it and I had fun :).
