Thoughts on Pria bars?

Quote  |  Reply
Yesterday I went to buy a Luna bar for my lunch, and I saw they had Pria bars too.  I am a sucker for anything peanut butter, so I bought the peanut butter chocolate caramel Pria bar instead.  I thought it was really good.  I liked it better than a Luna bar.  I was just wondering what everyone else thinks about them.  Do you like them?  Is there any reason I should avoid them? (Aside from the fact that the ingredients aren't as pure and organic as Luna bars, of course; I'm aware of that.)

i dont like any processed "energy" bar. Organic or not they have too much unfermented soy, grains and sugar.

They really arnt something that you should eat often.

plus, i dont like how they taste too much.

I like the vanilla crisp ones they're the best.

I really like them, but they have a lot more sugar and I don't like how that makes me feel.

But my fav flavor is definitely chocolate peanut butter.
Actually the one I had only had 1 g of sugar (it was sweetened with artificial sweeteners.) I don't have a problem with using artificial sweeteners, though I know some people on here would kill me for saying that.

Here's what I learnt...
(I haven't had either Pria or Luna bars, so I can't comment on them but I've checked on FiberOne and Kashi - Kashi came clean)...

If on reading the list of ingredients, you see any of the following AVOID them: high fructose corn syrup, light corn syrup, glucose, anything that has the '-ose' ending sugar form.

p.s. Kashi has a peanut butter bar, so it's worth checking out.

honestly, i used to be addicted to them, i used buy a 36 pack of all flavors at the store and ate them everyday. they are so good! i don't think theirs anything wrong with them. delicious-high in protein-quick snack. the only reason why i don't buy them anymore is they are a bit expensive =]

vanilla crisp and mint chocolate are my favorite.

I've never tried the Pria bars but I love Larabars. They're vegan, gluten free, and most of them are raw. My favorite thing is that they have only 2 to 5 ingredients in them.

*edited to add that they have a Peanut butter cookie one that will knock your socks off!
