I'm here! Let's get this started. Moving slowly this morning but at least I am moving and not still in bed. Well, who can sleep with a two year old but...breakfast is done, house is clean (for now) and I need to get my butt in gear to get some working out done. Have a great day ladies!
I Hope we don't lose the girls when it was switched!!!
I'm here too! I got a good workout in this morning and have made pretty good food choices so far today. Now I'm off to work on my mountain of laundry.
Have a good day!!![]()
Ive had a good day! Got to do taebo for 10mins then the little one needed fed! Guess 10mins is better than nothing :) Its hard to get any workout in sometimes with an infant! When your due for your period do you gain weight? Ive been at the same weight since last tuesday, but i was figuring it was due to me getting my period.
nbgirl- I always gain some water weight either the day before, of, or the day after and then it usually goes away the third day. But I bet every woman is different and you will figure out how it affects you. Another thing I notice sometimes with my weight is that it will stay the same for a while (sometimes up to a week) and then all of a sudden drop a pound or so. So, I wouldn't worry about it staying the same.
I felt really crappy this morning. Monthly. But got a pleasant surprise with the scale and it was an all time low for me. I need to do my scheduled jog but really don't want to do anything but lay in a curled ball. Okay enough grouchiness from me. Everyone have a good day!
I finally had time to check in today. I have not worked out yet, but I will get on my treadmill sometime today. I was feeling kind of sick this morning or I would have been done with that already. I've had a good week so I'm looking forward to weighing in tomorrow.
Have a good day!
Hi, I am a stay at home mom but no longer have little ones at home. In fact I am going through the "empty nest" period. I am a stay at home mom as I am disabled. Would it be okay if I join in this group anyway? I have lots of experience in parenting, not only am I one, my specialty when I worked was Parent Education through Head Start as well as Parents as Teachers. Would love to be a part of this group as it is so difficult being at home when everyone else works. Not only that, it would be helpful to have someone to check in with to help with the weight loss. With all my health issues I ballooned to a lovely 222 but am down to 206. I was a college athlete and fit as a fiddle and now that is not the case. Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if this group would be a good spot for me. Diane
I'm totally in!!!
I have 3 kids: 13yo son, 7yo son, 5 yo daughter.
I homeschool the two little ones and also watch other kids a few times a week. I am coordinating our local MOPS group and occasionally work at a bakery as well.
I made an attempt at getting fit last year, yet began 2009 at exactly the same spot. I've determined to finish it this year!!! I began CC on Jan 1, at 215# and have dropped 6 pounds since then. My goal is to be at 160 by my birthday in September.
At that point I will need to evaluate where I am and where I want to be. I have been overly round for as long as I can remember so I don't have a set weight in mind.
I'm in too!!
I have a 8mo son and work part-time from home. I would love to drop down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm breastfeeding, but the weight isn't coming off, so it's time to do something more.

Welcome all :) I'm sure we'd all love to have Moms of all ages who need to get in shape again one way or another! I'm fine with Moms who work out of their home and such, too, I just put that 'housewives' out there because we're an underappreciated and seemingly dying-yet determined not to be Breed! That might be a run-on sentence, lol.
I'm 32, married 11 years, and we have six children: our sons are 10 & 9, our daughters are 8, 7, 4, & 11 months. I'm a housewife for now; I've always wanted to be at home and feel available to my children and husband but it's also made me lazier in some aspects. And having our children back-to-back at first also packed on the lbs.
I was my heaviest after our 5th child at 292 (Jan '05). I actually went over to about 305ish while pregnant with her, too. Now I've worked it down to 230s, had our 6th baby last Jan & delivered at 282.5, and now I'm working it back down again!
I'll weigh in tomorrow but my SW for the challenge was 237.5. My goal for this challenge (New Year's Eve!) is 170, but I'd love to be at my goal weight of 140ish.
I'll be posting up the new weights tomorrow afternoon sometime after 3pm(EST) and if you just began or don't remember to weigh in I'll just keep it at the last weight given to me.
I'm glad we have so many now!! :)

Hi everyone. I would love to join you all. My husband and I just had our first son nine months ago. I am 23 yr old, 5'4" and weight 203lbs down from 210 at the beginning of the year. My max weight was 228 before I gave birth to Benjamin. I am a stay at home mommy and plan on having a large family and homeschooling them all. My husband is the oldest of a family of 6 kids. The youngest being the only girl at 5 years old. I want to beat that I want to have at least 7 children. But for now am just trying to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 180. Then hubby and I want to try for number 2. My long term goal weight is 130.

Welcome godsmissiongal!
Weigh-ins Today!! :)
Hi everyone! First I wanted to say I think this thread is great. I have worked in the past but my parnter and I decided it would be best to stay at home and not have to work to pay childcare. I am 26, 5'3 1/2", and have two boys. One is 8 and lives away, I see him every other weekend. Then the other is two and acts every bit of his age. When I first started trying to lose weight (or noticed that I was gaining instead of losing after my pregnancy) I was almost 160 pounds. That a shock to me as I have always been small. No more than 120 my entire life. I was working a desk job and just steadily gaining more weight. That was about a year ago. I tried losing weight with exercise alone and not watching what I ate and I managed about 20 pounds in a year. Not too bad considering I was still eating whatever I wanted. Then I found CC and combined their counting methods and my exercise routine and have almost gotten to goal. I have about 7-10 pounds to go! Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi Ladies! I guess I should introduce myself again too, since my other one is on the other post. I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids: 2 boys 10 (almost 11) and 8, and a 4 yr old girl.
I was a little dissappointed when I weighed in today because I didn't lose anyting, but I also didn't gain.
SW: 179.5
CW: 176.5 (same as last week)
GW: 140 (will probably rethink this when I get closer)
Since I just signed up yesterday, I'll set my starting weight at 209
btw-I'm 34 and 5' 5 1/2"
My starting weight with CC was at 215 I am 45 5'4" and today I weighed in at 205. A pound loss is a pound lost. It is hard to keep up with daily excersing when you are tired or hurt. How do all of you deal with fatigue and excersing? It is my biggest obstacle. Have a great day everyone and keep doing the best that you can. Diane
I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning after 8am EST to post the weights in case someone doesn't get a chance to get on here to post before... :) I know many just began and I've only done it for 6 days, nearly a week.
Challenge SW: 237.5

How is everyone doing this morning? I managed a jog before the toddler got up. Had to get up at 6am to do it, though... The house is a mess. I took over a challenge and have been catching up on all of that as well as all my posting. Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew. Need to shower, need to clean,...need to....LOL.

I feel your pain. I also got up early this morning but to check on everyone here at CC. I am currently involved in 4 Challenges and early in the morning or late at night is the only time I can talk to anyone. But I also need to get ready for the day, clean, exercise, and make breakfast for my little guy and me. I have the hardest time keeping the house clean. I think it is because my mother is and was so OCD about everything and it has made me resent all house work or something. Plus I have fibromyalgia and a lot of work causes me a lot of pain the next couple of days. Right now my back and neck are so stiff for some reason. I have a long day ahead of me so I better get off of here. Talk to you ladies later.
ok weighed in today instead of yesterday, and cw is 156, sort of bummed havent lost any/havent gained any. im on my monthly so i dont know if that has to do with it or what! i feel as if ive lost weight, its just not showing on the scale!
