Three months til 2010 - join me in setting a goal!

Well, next week is just three months until a new decade.  I don't want to be fat, do you?  Let's start 2010 on the thinner side of life.

I want to set a reasonable goal of 2 pounds a week.  October 1st to December 31 is 13 weeks.  Join me in making a goal of losing 26 pounds by New Years Eve! 

My start weight was 213 in May 2009 and LW was 182.  I am at a standstill.  I just can't get motivated.   I have stayed the same for over a month. 

My goal is 150.  But, 156 by 2010 works for me!  How about you?

Won't you set a goal and join me in reaching our dreams?

My starting weight was 196lbs and last friday i was 179lbs (friday has been my weigh day so far). My final goal is to be 133lbs, i know i wont be this in time for new year but i'd certainly like to be 26lbs lighter by then! I'll post my weight on the 1st october, which will be my starting weight for this challenge and i'll switch my weigh day to thursdays, which means weighing myself tomorrow eek!

I'll give this a whirl! I go in for knee surgery on Monday so exercise will will be at a minimum for a while but I can always count calories!

I'm not used to weighing myself either, I'll have to buy a scale before October 1st!

 

Im In!!! My Current weight is 177 lbs so that will be the  start for this challenge. Overall start weight was 220. Im going away in January so would love to be 150 by then!.

My goal then for new years is 150 lbs so thats 27 lbs loss..... Good to go, awesome challenge thanks! i weigh in on tuesdays so ill keep that the same as it is the only day i can get to a scale and computer!

Count me in!  My starting weight was 221.8 on July 8th.  My current weight is 192.4 & I would LOVE to be down another 26 pounds by then.  Are you going to start a group?

I needed a plan and this is as good as any. Count me in. I'm new to This forumn.

My starting weight was 255 last year this time. Now I'm 222. My final goal is to be 235 (ish) I would be thrilled to be under 200 by the New Year. 

This sounds great! I'll log in my weight on Oct 1st as well so I will have a relative starting point. I'm currently down 5 lbs for the past 3 weeks, which is amazing for me!

Sept 2nd I started at 220, and am down to 215. If I were to complete this goal I could be down to 184 by new years... which is still something I'd be really excited for. My overall goal is to be back down to 145-150 lbs by my anniversary next year (Aug 1st)... So are we going to do weekly weigh-ins or what? I currently weigh myself weekly on Wednesdays, but whatever works!

Starting Oct. 1st, IT'S ON! IT'S SOOO ON!

I'll try joining this challenge. will it be a closed group or an open group, just wondering? I'm 5ft and 3/4. A proud shorty :) i weigh 163 now, my highest was during end of junior beginning of senior year at HS at 190 in '07. I got down to 160 end of last year and maintained that till April. Then i shot up to 175 in like two months because i went to another country and my host mother thought it was rude to leave food on the plate she would make these meals that were meant for 5 even though there were only three of us (three volunteers, cause she didn't eat with us) who normally don't eat that much. It was awful. Good food but just felt sick all the time, but oh well great experience. Anyway, I just started university this august and would love to lose 26lbs by 2010. I was in another group before but it got really big and i didn't really connect with anyone, this was probably my fault cause i got so stressed with applying to schools. but now im back on CC so time to start again.

I will join! I am currently 208, and will weigh in on the first. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and am trying to get back on track. My overall goal weight is 140.

I am turning 41 in 3 days and currently weigh 190. I am 5'3" and my entire life I have averaged 135 pounds.

While unemployed in 2005 I shot up to 150 pounds. I started a new job (which I hated) and within two years I gained another 40 pounds! 

I have been at this 190 pound weight ever since and despite working out regularly, I haven't lost anything.

I have finally realized I need to start watching my calorie intake, something I NEVER had to do before.

According to this site I need to limit my calorie intake to 1,600 calories.

At the moment I can ride a bike and do limited strength training. Unfortunately, not enough to make any difference until my ACL is replaced on Monday 9/28.

How often should we weigh in? Are we going to post pictures...like in Shape Magazine? Just a thought.

I'm very interested...and excited!    We are starting a biggest loser contest at work next week, but I'd love to have incite, encouragement, and sharing that an on-line group can offer.

I am now at 213 according to my scale about 2 minutes ago, although I sort of doubt it....  Was 220 just a couple weeks ago.  I can't wait to finally be back under 200, and that will be a great way to start the new year.

 

 

I am so excited.  Thanks everybody!!!  This is the motivation I know that I need.  I hope it will be the same for you.  On October 1 or sometime near that date post your current weight and we will go from there.  This will be a great thread for all of us to brag on our successes and get motivation from each other during times in which we struggle.

So, 26 pounds from Oct 1 to Dec 31.... My Current weight is 179.3, but hopefully by Oct 1 I'll be around 178.  So my currently goal is 152 lbs.  Wow, amazing to think I might be in the 50s by Christmas Smile

Count me in!   My current weight is 205 and my ultimate goal in 156.  My starting weight was 250 LBS on June 1 and this challenge will help me stay on track. So with 26 LBS to loose by 12/31 would put me at 179.  Sounds great.

Losing 26lbs by New Year's Eve would put me at 216! That would be the lowest weight I've been since college 5 years ago!

I'm in!  I'm new to CC as of Tuesday but have found it to be a big help already!  I've never calorie counted before and it's amazing how I won't eat something because I know I'll be held accountable for it later.  :)  

Current Weight:  210 (as of this morning)

Goal Weight: 150

Goal Weight for New Years: 184

This seems totally doable.  An overall weight loss of 60lbs seems unreachable but when you break it up into smaller goals, I CAN DO IT!

Don't think it is impossible.  I started on CC on May 4 and lost 30 pounds at a rate of about 2 pounds a week.  Almost half.  It feels soooooo great.  So, let's do this together.  I need your help and I can help you.  YOU CAN DO IT.

I am new to CC. I joined yesturday Sept 24th.  So far I am happy with what I have seen. Love the calorie counter and the calories burned estimator.  I would be happy to join the group. I think this will help me get motivated to think that other woman are going through this with me, and beable to talk with them.  My current weight as of 9/3/09 was 214. I would be down to 190. My goal weight is 140. This would put me 1/3 of the way there.

I started in May at 213 and by the end of July (3 months) I lost 28 pounds.  I am now at 180 (23 lbs lighter) and it feels wonderful.  I still want to lose 30 more.  But, this challenge will be wonderful for you, since you are just starting.  It took me only three months to feel so much better about the way I looked and felt.  Here we go!!!

Hey all, I'm in!  I started losing in January of this year and keep plugging along.  I figure, the longer it takes me the more likely I am to keep it off.  hehe

I'd like to lose 20 by Thanksgiving...9 weeks away...and then another 8 by the new year.  Wow!  That'd get to me 148...I haven't weighed that since I was probaby 16..

That sounds great, I will join. I am currently at 234 and need to get to at least 180. If I could get between 200-210lbs I'll be happy.
