Three months til 2010 - join me in setting a goal!
Well, next week is just three months until a new decade. I don't want to be fat, do you? Let's start 2010 on the thinner side of life.
I want to set a reasonable goal of 2 pounds a week. October 1st to December 31 is 13 weeks. Join me in making a goal of losing 26 pounds by New Years Eve!
My start weight was 213 in May 2009 and LW was 182. I am at a standstill. I just can't get motivated. I have stayed the same for over a month.
My goal is 150. But, 156 by 2010 works for me! How about you?

I would like to join! I started CC in May 2009 with a weight of 237 lbs. I got stuck this summer at 201 lbs for the longest time and lost motivation. The scale has finally tipped in my favor I have made my goal of being under 200 lb. I haven't gotten serious and I really need to again. I think this challenge will really help me get back on track and be more accountable. I am now at 192 lb. I will check in again in two days but doubt it will change much.
Start Weight of 237 lb in May 2009.
Currently down 45lbs! to 192 lbs
Goal 26 more by 1/1/2010! Weigh 166 for total weight loss of 71lbs (WOW that would be getting close to my overall goal of 88lbs.)
My doctor would like me to be 148 but would be happy with 160-170lb. To think that could actually happen by Jan 2010!

I am so glad you joined the challange. There are a lot of newbies to CC and your successful weight loss thus far will certainly be an inspiration. So, even though you are not at your goal weight, could let everyone know how wonderful it feels to lose just half? I have lost half and feel wonderful. I think that is why I may have not been so dedicated in the last two month. But, we are back and on our way.

This is a fantastic idea! I will definitly do it. I am new to Calorie Count. I have only lost 4 lbs so far I started a little over two weeks ago. I weigh 246 and my goal is 150 but 220 by January sounds like a great goal.
I'm in too!! I am also new to CC - just started this week. I live in Alaska. With winter beginning now and the darkness creeping back in I will need some extra encouragement! I already feel encouraged to see so many people in the same boat that I'm in. Thank you so much!!

My son is getting married in February in Texas and I'm going on a cruise the next day. I want to be comfortable in my dress at his wedding and to wear my warm weather clothes.
Tomorrow is October 1st and we'll be officially within the 3 month mark until 2010. Last New Year's Day, I kept telling myself I can't wait for New Year's 2010 because I just know it's going to be a better year this time around. And it has been for the most part. I got serious 3 months ago and started losing weight on July 1st. I started at 224 lbs and am currently at 195 today. That's 30 lbs of 2009 fat--gone! I graduate from PA school next year in September and want to walk across that stage proud and thin at 134 lbs for a total loss of 90 lbs over 14 months. I'm already 1/3 of the way there!
Goal for New Years: lose 15 more lbs and reach 179 lbs, which is my half-way point.
Oct. 1st: 195.4 lbs--starting weight.

Good Morning!!!! I am weighing in today at 181 lbs. With a goal of two pounds a week, that will put me at 155 on New Years Eve! Then just five more to go. I wish everyone great success.

OK, here we go. This is the first time I have ever written in a chat room but htis sounds like a good supportive group. I am 56 years old and started this program at 231 pounds a couple of weeks ago. I am down to 222 today with a goal weight of 141, according to the calculator. I have only been counting calories so far but plan on gettin to the gym again next week. (Just writing checks and not going has not been working...)
I have cut out my daily 2-3 glasses of wine a night and I feel much better in the morning. I will keep pluggin away and appreciate the support. I am going away in January also and would love to be 196 or less by the pool.

Wouldn't that be GRAND? I will do it! I had a successful 1st week with CC and will continue to. I'm dedicated and committed to weight loss for the first time ever and this is just the goal to prove it!

The last time I was under 200 was when I met my husband in 2002. I felt great then. I want to feel that way again. I can do it! I have my gym plan down.

I will definitely be counting on your support. Change comes slowly to my life. If took me a year and a half to drop the first 47.5 pounds. 26 pounds in three months sounds monumental.

Ok so I weighed in this morning and I GAINED 2 lbs so now I am a little discouraged.

I have been on cc for a week as of today. My starting weight was 214. My current weight is 211. My new year weight will be 185. My goal weight is 135-140. This will put me a 1/3 of the way there. 185 will put me at my pre pregnancy weight. I can't wait to be under 200 pounds. I will also be moving to my new home next week so cooking dinner will be hard for a while, I will have to be carefull with what I eat during that time, but there are alot of good foods out there that I will be able to cook instead of going to fast food. Here we go......
I started my weight loss program on June 1 at 250 lbs and now I am 203 - 47lb weight loss (yeah me!) and I need to continue and this will help me get through the holidays. I will also try for 2lbs a week.

Also, since my weight loss was starting to slow down, I joined a GYM and started working out today. Previously I just worked out at home.

I think it is more realistic for me to lose around 1.5 pounds per week, so I have set a goal to lose about 20 pounds in 13 weeks.
