About four months ago had some family losses that seem to affect health... Always been an emotional eater.. But finally went to Dr. and found out it was thyroid not working... Okay on the meds and starting to loose weight again... But need to understand all the ins and outs of this! Proper eating, timing, etc... Anybody out there that has gone through this and succeeded in getting the weight off? Would appreciate your input... Thanx in advance.... ;-)

I've read some good posts about this but not recently - try the post search.
I'm hypothyroid - actually Hashimoto's. Once my meds were working, I was able to lose the weight just like a "normal" person. I'm down 27 pounds just by exercising (step aerobics) and trying to stay beneath 1900 calories a day. I take my hormone at night before bed. I hope this helps out! :)
