Like a lot of people I woke up one day and realized those "few extra pounds" had really added up, and the lifestyle I've been living hasn't been suited for anything but continued growth.
That didn't seem to be enough this past year to really motivate me to make change, but my declining health is. My energy levels are just about nil, I get sick at the drop of a pin, and overall I just don't feel good. I'd like to lose weight, but my first focus is going to be better eating, more exercise, a healthier lifestyle. I think if I make these changes the weight loss will come, probably faster and more permanent than those crazy diets I've tried. :) And CC looks like just the place to help it happen if I stick with it :)
I'm looking forward to really getting involved here and making some changes, healthy permanent changes, for good!

Welcome to CC. You're on the right track. For me the hardest thing was deciding to do something about my weight gain. I've been here since February and have really changed the way I look at food. You have the right idea. It's not a diet but a healthy, lifestyle change.
