What time does everyone have dinner?

Quote  |  Reply

okies, i was talking to my family today and we were comparing meal times. my uncle, aunt and 2 cousin (5 and 7 years) get up at 6 every morning an.d have breakfast soon after that, lunch by 11:30 and then dinner not long after 4!! then maybe a snack before bed at 8:30.

my nan and pop (grandparents) wake up 8:30-ish breakfast by 9, lunch at 12 then dinner 5:30.

me (14) mum and brother (13) wake up at seperate times have all make our own breakfast and lunch whenever, i wake up anywhere between 7-9 having breakfast 10-20 minutes after. then lunch between 12-1. we all have dinner at around 6 together.

i was curious as towhat everyone's routines were, i generally eat when im hungry but the time tends to have a range. how close to waking up and going to sleep do you eat and when do you have snacks? i have snack about 2-3-ish if im hungry or wherever suits :P

please and thankyou!

xo

I honestly normally have dinner right now around 3pm! I wake up really early (4am-ish sometimes earlier or later) and usually have my breakfast by 5am. Lunch is always around or by noon. I eat my biggest meals earlier in the day so dinner is more like a really big snack. After 3pm I'm never hungry so if I don't eat something substantial around then I don't have a chance at reaching my calorie goals.

we eat a fairly light breakfast (200 cals if that), which is probably the wrong way to go, around 6-7 am, then I eat a medium lunch, if i eat lunch, usually 1 to 2 pm, then dinner is usually 7 to 8 pm, some days as late as 9 or 9:30 (which is probably why breakfast is so light).

wish i had a lifestyle that afforded a different schedule.

edit: ps i think eating when you are hungry is the right way to go, but by timing things, we get hungry on a certain schedule.  our bodies become used to it.  my daughter thinks she is supposed to eat on a certain schedule even if she just ate 2 hours earlier-- which i think is very wrong.  go with your body and whatever schedule works for you.

I have dinner from about 10am until 8pm! :D

Breakfast: 12pm 500 cal

Lunch: 4pm 500 cal

Dinner: 8pm 500 cals

1500 is my calorie goal to lose weight.

Also, I'm just never hungry when I get up, but if I am hungry for some reason, I'll have a cup of cereal and some milk (around 10ish am - 230ish extra cals). Super rare, though. I eat on a schedule because if I don't... I will literally eat all day long.

Breakfast: 9am

Lunch: 12pm

Snack: about 4pm

Dinner: 8pm. That said, when my boyfriend used to work evenings we had dinner around 11pm. That was lame!

Up at 5:00 coffee first -

 breakfast  at 7:30 p.m.

lunch at work- 11:30 to noon

Dinner 5:00 pm

snack around 7-8 pm. cereal or fruit.

bed 9-10pm

Breakfast- 6:00 AM (400-500 calories)
Snack- 9:00 AM (100-280 calories)
Lunch- 12:00 PM (400-600 calories)
Snack- 3:00 PM (100-280 calories)
Dinner and Dessert- 6:00 PM (200-600 calories)
Snack- 9:00 PM (100-280 calories)

breakfast is sometime between 5 and 6 AM.
then I go to school & lunch is at 12 noon
once I get home I have a snack at 3PM
and then dinner usually ends up at 5 or 6, or whenever I feel hungry again.

Breakfast- 6:45 AM

Snack- 10:15 AM

Lunch- 12:40 PM

Snack- 4:30 PM

Dinner - 6:30 PM

Snack- 9:00 PM

I work 10:30-7 pm, so my meal times are pushed back a bit...

Wake up at 6:30 am & workout for an hour

Breakfast at 9:30 am

Mid-morning snack around 11 am

Lunch at 1 pm

Snack around 5 pm

Dinner at 8 o'clock--I wish I could have dinner earlier, but I don't get home till 7:30 pm & then have to cook up a meal Undecided

bc i work in a school, i wake up extra early so that i can have a full bfast, i dont mind it, bfast is my fave meal!

oh rt, and a bedtime snack is critical, lol!

I get up at 5am, eat breakfast at 6am, then it's snack (9am), lunch (12pm), snack (3pm), snack (5pm), dinner (6pm) and snack (9pm).  Yea.. I pretty much eat non-stop all day  Laughing

I'm up at 0430 and out of bed around 15 mins later (I allow 1 round of the "whack the snooze bar game) and usually hit the hay at 2300 so I've got a long day!

  • Post-workout shake is around 0530
  • Breakfast 0800
  • Snack 1100
  • Lunch 1300
  • Snack 1530
  • Dinner between 1800-1900
  • evening shake by 2100

I pretty much have to be on schedule or I won't eat breakfast, will not be hungry at snack 1, will more or less skip lunch and then by snack 2 time I'm getting hungry.  It was worse before I started doing a shake in the evening and making one mandatory after my morning workouts.  I don't workout on the weekend, and the house sleeps in so I might miss that shake but I do still push the rest of my times.

Either 12:30-3:30 AM (depends on how busy I am), or 6:45-7:30 AM.  I work third shift.  Dinner is either during my lunch break at work or when I get home in the morning.

When I'm not working dinner is closer to 11 PM.

Up around 5:30

1st Breakfast 6:30

2nd Breakfast 10:30

1st Lunch 1:30

2nd Lunch 4:30

Workout after work around 7

Dinner between 8 and 9

bed at 10.

i eat dinner when i'm hungry and when it fits.

like sully, i typically have two breakfasts.  or two lunches.  not usually two of each.

if it's a two-breakfast, one-lunch day (or vice-versa), dinner is usually late (7 or 8).  if it's a one-breakfast, one-lunch day, dinner could be as early as 4:30.

there are snacks in there, too.

i'm a hungry person.

I eat breakfast @ 7 (in the weekend its more like 9)

I eat lunch @ 1.15 (in the weekends like 12.30)

And i eat dinner anytime from about 5-6 (on mondays its like 7 coz i have hockey and swimming!)

and i have random snacks of fruit during the day even when i'm not hungry to make my metabolism better somehow?

i can eat maybe 5 - 8 times a day depending on my workout schedule.

7 -a light snack for breakfast (cant eat or do anything in the mornings.)

9:30- a bigger breakfast when i get to work

11- mid snack

1- lunch

4- afternoon snack

6:30 pre workout snack

10- post workout snack (usually just a protein drink if lifting)

10:30 or 11 big dinner (usually eat dinner around 9ish if not working out)

edit: oh yeah weekends are all over the place, if i dont have to get up i dont get up early. SO & i are night owls.

edit: ps i think eating when you are hungry is the right way to go, but by timing things, we get hungry on a certain schedule.  our bodies become used to it.  my daughter thinks she is supposed to eat on a certain schedule even if she just ate 2 hours earlier-- which i think is very wrong.  go with your body and whatever schedule works for you.

i agree with that i couldn't stomach a dinner after 8 though or earlier than 5, i suppose it just depends on the person

very interesting.......and most of these meal times are based around work it seems, as im on holidays and my high school has very good times, im able to eat when hungry, it just seems there is no 'normal' time, people's hunger can vary quite a bit, and i'd also depend on how big your meals are....

We all have different schedules in my house, but we all have dinner together at 7-7.30pm. I usually get up at about eight and have breakfast straight away. I have a snack at about eleven, lunch at around two and another snack around four.
