Any Tips for a Pear Shaped Body to thin out legs?

Quote  |  Reply

Is anyone else on here Pear shaped?

what worked for you to thin out your legs? Is this possible? lately I feel that they are not thinning out, just my fat is turning to muscle :S

I find limiting carbs/low carbs helps for me, but i'd like to hear what worked for others.

5'8 between 140-144

Alas, I think the truth is that the only thing that can thin out your legs is to lose weight overall with diet and cardio. It really sucks, but there's no way to spot reduce. All we can do is lose weight overall and tone the muscles underneath. I too have heavy legs, but you can't reduce the number of fat cells you've got, so you may always have heavy spots, because your body decides how it wants to lose the fat and from where.  :S

I too am pear shaped and it sucks. I weigh only 105 at 5'3 but either i have high bodyfat or I just have huge thighs for my frame. I've tried toning up but it makes them look bigger since the fat will never leave and I lose tone there very fast. I try to tell myself to embrace it, but its hard when your thighs touch lol

I'm a pear shape and even when I was 100 lbs i always had big thighs and calfs. Nothing will make them be thin. Thats just your body type, in order to make them tone and less thick you have to lose weight overall. Do alots of leg workouts this will help, I'm doing this now and its working.
