why am i so tired lately??
I'm not mentally tired as in I could take a nap, but physically, I usually run anywhere from 15-25 miles a week and make sure my total cardio is an hour to 75 mins a day, for example i do a 25 minute run and i'll finish up with maybe 20 minutes on the stairs and another 20 on the elliptical. My strength training has been on and off the past 3 years depending on stress but i've always done my cardio. I've been doing this for 2 to 3 years now and I've never been so fatigued before. Usually I'm always able to push it through a nice 7 mile run here or there, but lately I get so tired after 3 or 4!! What's wrong with me!??? anyone have any suggestions on to why im so tired lately when i go to workout?? My legs feel like lead and im losing speed when i run but i can push it through on an elliptical, but I WANT TO RUN!!! ahhhhh.
HELP!
That's a fair bit of work over a long period - sounds like you could use a break.
Have you rested lately? Your body may be telling you something, possibly overtraining. This leads to fatigue and eventually a shutting down of the immune system.
Have you altered your diet lately? If you are lacking energy you simply might not be getting the necessary calories you need. Try eating the majority of your calories around your workout window i.e. 2 hours before, a carbohydrate beverage during, and 30 minutes after try replenishing your body with a high protein, high carb beverage. This will replenish your muscle fuel reserves and help you recover and not be as tired for your next workout.

What more do you want us to say? Mike gave you an answer that seems to cover what you want to know. Eat a big breakfast before running. If you feel sick or don't like running on a full stomach, eat a small but calorie dense meal or wake up earlier to eat.
Before you workout in the morning, you may want to try drinking a carbohydrate beverage. Something that is about 100-200 calories (25-50g of carbs).
You can get something like gatorade or powerade, or even 100% fruit juice. I like to drink 100% white grape juice before/during my workouts in the morning. It gives me a lot of energy and is easy on my stomach.
Keep in mind, in the morning you are really low on energy reserves because during sleep your body uses your energy stores for basic body functions like heart, lungs, etc. If your energy reserves are depleted, your workout will suck.
