tired of posting and getting no reply??????
Does anyone else out there post and no one replies???? I just want to chat with someone and every day I check my posts and there is never any reply...
It would not matter what they reply with even a I don't know, But I get no reply. Anything would be better than nothing. I beginning to get a complex thinking that maybe my posts a stupid or something. Anyway I was Just wondering If anyone else felt that way.
Watch I will get no reply on this post too!!! LOL
Thanks Cathy
*shrug* thats the way the internet is (forums more than just chatting on IRC or something). People reply to what interests them....or sometimes they just dont know...or dont have the time to post (or dont want to get into a subject again).
If its something you really want to hear a response to, you can always try to bump it (forums move quickly if you are only checking them once a day ...or once every few days).
If you feel chatty, you should join some IRC channels though. Its nice to have up and talk about random things with whatever community you have in the channel.
You're posting in poorly trafficked subforums. If you pay attention to post counts and replies on the forum's main page, you should see that you've posted in some of the ones with fewer posts, indicating, more or less, that fewer people frequent those forums, for whatever reasons.
Try the Weight Loss, Foods, Fitness, and here next time. I'm sure whatever you post can be tangentially related to one of those topics.
Hi yu if you want to just chat then the lounge is the place but keep in mind that if you post some of the subjects you have been asking about in your other threads they will be moved to a suitable forum.
Here if you look we chat about anything and everything or find a chat thread there quite a few of them about and the same people usually frequent them so you get to know people.
It happens to me sometimes, too. If there's light traffic, there won't be many people to respond. If there's heavy traffic, your post might get bumped down really fast. And sometimes it's just that no one has the answer or is sure how to respond.
Don't take it personally.
Thanks and I will try not to take it personally. I never thought of going to a higher traffic area.
Have a good day!!!!
happens to me too, and sometimes I can shrug it off but sometimes I take it personally. after being in forums for a bazillion years you'd think i'd learn!
I just keep plugging away until someone notices me. hehehehe
I tend to check out the 'Food, 'Health & Support', 'Weight-loss', 'Weight Gain', 'Maintenance' and 'Young Calorie Counters' forums quite regularly and always look out for posts with 0 responses. (Bumping can be counter-productive with me, as I will think they've been answered already) The ones I tend not to answer are those that are either making lengthy personal statements, are incoherent, promoting some whacky/dangerous diet idea (hit the 'violation' button) or are trying to sell something! If you ask a direct question, people will usually tend to answer and if you include some appropriate stats that makes it easier for people to make the answer specific.
Your question may have already been answered several times. Try doing a search to see if it's already been posted about.
I will post a reply here just to comfort you....
It happens. I know for me I pretty much only look up food here, log my weight loss and come to the lounge. Sometimes a thread someone starts is similar to others that have already been posted. Sometimes I have nothing to add to what's been said or I don't really know about the topic. Basically there are several reasons I can think people may not respond to a topic that are nothing personal.
I also noticed that you post REALLY early in the AM. Not sure where your from, but it looks like most of your posts have been started between midnite and 4 in the morning Eastern US time. Not a real happenin time in the forums...
your posts arent silly....sumtyms i do it to.
lyk there are a thousand post about ppl wantin buddies and u cant reply dem all......d ppl posting shud just reply to d other post or sumthin....so these just results into a thousand buddie request posts wit no reply.

I don't know what you're looking for, but here's a reply, just to be friendly
I looked at the list of posts you started, in your profile, and every single one of them has replies. If you aren't familiar with this feature, go to your profile and scroll down. All your posts are there, and next to the title is the number of replies.
Thanks everyone for answering my post.
My other posts did get answered. I guess I was a little depressed the other day one of those off days I was just hoping to find answers to my questions and kept logging on and not getting any.
Sorry Bad Day!!

My god... Coherent sentences with full words, please. You're not texting on your mobile right now.
I thought the same thing took me reading it 3 times to figure it out. My daughters text me all the time and it takes me a while to figure it out, and twice as long to text them. They ask "why don't you abbreviate?" I told them "Because I can't has to be spelled right, my teacher may smack me with a ruler If I don't spell it right."
LOL! That was cute - "my teacher may smack me with a ruler" - that takes me back! I remember when teachers used to do that, they aren't allowed to now of course, might hurt the poor little buggers!!!!

If you post on a weekend ( Friday - Sunday) you won't get a reply except from those of us with no life's too LOL-- Holiday weekends can be really bad for traffic too- and now that summer is officially here its going to get evenslower.
I usually just browse the forums I like ( fitness, games, and lounge) and stay away from the health one due to all the anorexic posts it seems to attract.

So you can keep track of what you eat - which enables you to analyze your foods and receive the following:
- Health Score of your overall diet
- Warning when you approach your daily calorie limit
- Overview of the good and bad nutrients
