Why am I so tired?
Asked by urhomechap on Jul 29, 2009 in Health Conditions

I am usually tired in the morning and in the afternoon for no apparent reason.

Answer

A general symptom like feeling tired has so many possible causes.  Non-medical reasons include lack of sleep, under-eating, getting too much or too little exercise, and carrying too much or too little weight.  Several medical conditions such as anemia, hypothyroidism and hypoglycemia are associated with tiredness too.  Try to eat a balanced diet, exercise for 30-minutes a day and get enough sleep.  If your tiredness does not improve within a week or two, visit your doctor for the correct diagnosis.
