Tired snacking

Ok lately ive been working long days at work and when I come home around 730-8pm Im tired but dont want to goto bed too early and I find myself snacking b/c im sleepy anyone experience this?

If so what do you do to stay on track? I tried to exercise a lil but im so beat I can barely do anything, any suggestions?

I'll mindlessly munch on cereal, crackers, pretzels, cookies all starchy foods!

I've felt that way before, too, and I know it's difficult to stay focused on doing something healthy, or even NOT doing something unhealthy. When this happens, do you still have calories left in your budget for the day, and if so, do you still need to eat dinner? If so, I'd suggest going right into making your dinner. Keeping busy doing something you need to do will help keep you from mindless snacking. If you're getting home after you've already eaten dinner, try going directly into relaxation mode. Take a long, hot shower, take your time getting ready to crawl into bed. Then, when you are ready to hit the sheets, though it may still be too early to go to sleep, crawl into bed with a book or magazine and read until you're ready to sleep. At least that way you'll remove yourself from any available munchies from the time you get through the door

I snack to stay awake while studying... Try snacking on frozen fruits, its almost like having a popscicle... or I also buy these Puffs cereals that they sell in the baby food isle... super low cal... (you eat those without milk, btw...)

I go to the gym in the evenings to avoid the "oh my god, I need to snack." I wait to make dinner until I get home and than don't have too much time to wait until bed.

yeah, when i get tired... I get hungry. If I'm seriously STARVING and I'm trying to finish a paper or study for an exam, I'll try to eat something healthy atleast.  goodluck!!
