I am currently 188 pounds and CC says I should weigh 111
I really have been bad. I just checked my sugar and it was 441. WAY too high. I have to cut it out and be good or Im gonna end my tail up in a hospital with sugars like this.

I have two friends who are diabetic, one of them already had to have a kidney transplant...... the other friend had toes amputated until finally they had to amputate her leg up to her knee.
If your good now you won't have to pay the price later!! This is serious stuff!!

Wow that is frightening. I will be good starting today. I was going to have some iced tea this morning but decided on water instead. I have to get some stuff in the house that I can drink without having to worry. My hubby says that Sprite zero is good so I may try that. He needs to lose weight too so it would be good for him to have something to drink that isnt full of sugar.
I went to the store this morning and got lots of good things for me to eat and drink. I also bought an exercise outfit to exercise in. I may actually get my nerve up and go to the weight room and use the fitness equipment. Im getting excited now.
Oh btw weighing in on Thursdays is cool for me. I will weigh in on Monday for my therapist and Thursdays for you all.

I am doing great!! Went to church , took a nap, made taco's for dinner. Now I'm adding all my food to my food log, I've used 1444cal, still have a little less than 400 to use. lol... I'm sure I will be able to find some thing to eat to use all my cals!!
It will be interesting to see how the weigh -in on thursday will turn out for me. I have never really counted calories to loose weight, it has always been points or portions. I'm going to focus on drinking no less than 8 glasses of water everyday for the rest of the week and get my walking in every day too. (first thing in the morning or I know once I get busy with the day it may not happen.)

Hey, Girls. I'm here. It's been a busy weekend. Friday was originally supposed to be a family Christmas party on my side of the family. But one of my nephews had to go to the hospital, and will be there for a couple of weeks. He has Cystic Fibrosis, and he has a virus that would go unnoticed in anyone else, but is pretty serious in a CF patient. It sounds like he's doing fine, but the party got cancelled. So my husband and I took the kids out to Salt Lake to see the Christmas lights at the temple. We ended up eating at Costa Vita's and I got a sweet pork salad with black beans and cilantro vinaigrette. Mmm. And then while we were waiting for the train to come to take us back home, I got a sugar free steamer. I don't know the nutritional info for the salad, but given what was in it, I don't think it was more than 500 calories or so, and I had done pretty well all day, so I wasn't worried.
Yesterday, one of my nephews got baptized, and my sister served cheesecake at her house afterwards. I was good and only took one slice. Then my family stopped at Fazoli's on the way home. I didn't have my dining out guide with me, so I just got the baked rigatoni or whatever it is with a side salad, and then only ate half and brought the rest home for my husband to eat for lunch today. And I also got a good work out in yesterday, so I feel pretty good about that too.
Today is fast Sunday, so I didn't eat or drink anything until dinner time, and because I'd had nothing all day, I decided tonight was a good night to enjoy a cheeseburger with some fries (all homemade so probably much healthier, and the fries were baked), and an ice cream bar for dessert. I've decided that Sunday is going to be one of my off days for working out, so no exercise today. Just enjoying the Sabbath.
Monday is the day I like to weigh in. I like to start off my week knowing where I'm at. But I'm fine with weighing in on Thursdays too.
jc Im sorry to hear about your nephew. I pray all goes well with him. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend and stayed on track though. I have to weigh on Mondays also for my therapist but I will also weigh on Thursday for the group.
I am so mad at myself right now. I was SO bad this weekend that I gained 2.5 pounds and am up to 190.5. All that changes TODAY!
I am doing really good today. I watched my cals at breakfast and I did the Leslie Sansone Walking away the Pounds one mile walk and finished it. I wasnt quite sure my back was gonna let me LOL. I am logging everything I eat and do. This time is gonna be so much different than any other time I have tried to diet because I have friends to diet with who need to lose as much as I do.
Good morning! I set my alarm for 6am this morning so I'd have time to get some of my workout in before getting my 7 year old up and ready for school. Yeah! I weighed in, and am down 4 pounds, which puts me at 206! Awesome! It's amazing how I already feel so much more healthy and it's only been a few days. I did WATP Muscle Mile One without free weights this morning. After I get my son to school, I will do some yoga before having breakfast and getting my 5 year old ready for preschool. My personal goal this week is to drink 64 oz of water every day. I know that I could probably use more, but I'm terrible at drinking water, so I'm going to start out small. Have a fantastic day everyone!

JC, I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. Hopefully he pulls through and ends up as though nothing happened in the first place.
Way to go everyone on your awesome workouts and calorie counting!! And, even if you did slip up, guess what - you're human. It's gonna happen. And today is a brand new day and you can start over. That's the great thing about life. You can always start anew.
You know what is the hardest thing? Gaining and losing the same lbs over and over again. I was looking through my weight log, and I noticed that I had actually gotten down to 215 one week...And then it was TOM, so I was up to 218 last week, down to 216.8 this week... UGH! I just want to lose and keep losing! My sister mentioned to me that "every pound should be celebrated", so in that respect I'm happy that I lost this week, but I wish I could have lost more. Especially since I REALLY started working out last week...but then again I did have a HUGE dinner Friday night... So, here's hoping that this week will go even better!!
Is anyone else finding it hard to get up to the 1200 calories they want you to eat per day? I can only get up to 1189 today and that took a lot of doing. I guess my therpist was right in that my body was in starvation mode because I hardly ate much and it was holding on to the weight.
CC has 1950 calories as my daily goal, but that seems like way too much! Following the points like I do, I'm consuming more like 1400 or so calories, and it seems just right for me. I don't feel hungry, and I lose at a decent rate. I would say listen to your body. If you feel hungry, eat something healthy. If you really don't feel hungry then don't eat. Of course, being diabetic you also have to make sure your you are eating what you need to, but mostly I would say listen to your body.
Really? You have a hard time getting to the 1200?? I have a hard time staying BELOW my calories - and they're at about 1650! Maybe you're just making healthier choices than me. :) The hardest time for me is when I go and do a really hard workout and have to make sure that I don't have more than a 1000 calorie deficit.

One thing I have learned from dieting is you can't tell your body when to loose weight. So don't beat yourself up!! Our body weight can bounce up and down a good 5 lbs due to water retention, muscle gain (muscle weighs more than fat) medication and many other things. Evey time I lost weight the biggest thing that helped me was being consistant.......with tracking what I ate, following my eating plan, drinking my water and exercise. Just do your best everyday and the weight will come off, maybe not on the day you want it to but it will happen!!
Karrie I bet when you start getting more walking in you will have no problem eating your 1200 cals.
Jc - cc has me at 1950 cals too and I thought that was too high as well. I've done ww and always had success but after 3 to 4 months I started to fill deprived and went off the plan. I'm going to try 1800 and see what happens on thursday. Seems like cc gives me more freedom to have a little more fat and I think that may be the key for me to stay satisfied and not go back to eating eveything in sight! I will pray for your nephew and wonderful to hear about the baptism!! I can just imagine how beautiful the lights are at the temple. Sounds like your doing great!! be careful don't over do the exercise and burn yourself out, I've done that before

Can anyone explain the burn meter to me? What I think it means is you would have to eat as much as your burn meter says to maintain your weight. But the difference between the burn meter and actual calories is your calorie deficit for the day? Im sooooooooooooo confused. BTW how do you request someone to be your friend?
Ugh I have been up since 1 AM. I already had breakfast and checked my blood sugar which was a little high even though I ate very healthy yesterday and didnt have any sugar or starches. I even ate green beans which I absolutely HATE with a passion. I see the diatician today and I can't wait. 8:30 cant come too soon. I see my endocrinologist on Wednesday and he will tell me then whether I will be insulin dependent or oral medication dependent.
