Today is a new day, I hope.....

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I ate - what's the word? EVERYTHING! I started with a huge plate of Spanish rice for breakfast and it went downhill from there. Today I'm afraid the top button on my pants could turn into a WMD and put somebody's eye out!

Again this morning, I feel like I could eat everything in sight. Help!!! What do I need to do to get back on track?

And that is the right attitude to have!! Cool  messing up for a single day will not screw up a program, but it's when we let that one bad day throw us off our whole program that things get bad.

Remember, it's not about the way we eat this afternoon, but about how we eat over our lifetime that counts!!

Stay strong!!

Calm down, its just one day.. It wont make a HUGE difference.. Just make sure you get back on track by drinking plenty of water and making sure you have healthy snacks around so you can eat them instead of sugary/fatty foods...

I have them days where I eat anything I fancy (to a degree) and dont count my calories. I had one at the weekend and it has actually helped with my weight loss, I was stuck on 175/174.8lbs and am now down to 174/173.8lbs..

So dont worry too much Smile

I would love to think that yesterday's binge would lead to weight loss. I didn't have the courage to step on the scales this morning!

I think part of the reason that I lost control yesterday is that I have been so good for the past 2-3 months and have lost nothing. Eating healthy, exercising - doing all the things that should lead to me weight a couple of pounds less. But nothing has changed.

Today I feel like a blimp so maybe that feeling will remind me that I don't want a repeat of yesterday.

Thanks for the encouraging words! I know it's not the end of the world.

Don't lose hope.  Last weekend I absolutely gorged myself for two and half days straight (probably 3500-5000 C/day).  I gained 8 pounds by Sunday evening, but I went straight back to my diet and exercised every day and now I'm actually lower than I was before the binge.

It's all about the averages. :-)

I agree with duke - it's about attitude. Why are you 'hoping' today will be better? No need to hope, if you want it to be a better day, make it one. Beating yourself up over it won't help, making today a better day will though. It's just one day. If the next 6 are good, then the averages are all in your favour.

qpx, you gained 8 pounds and lost all that and more?! how did you do it? what's  your workout like? i so jealous and maybe because your a guy, so it's easier for you to lose weight.

heck, i'll be lucky if i can get down by 2 pounds in a month.

helpless, looking at your photo I am not surprised you struggle to lose 2lbs per month. To lose it, you have to have it first! I'm losing 2lb a week at the moment quite nicely, but I am 230 lbs to start with!

LOL  been there, done that!  the problem with binging is that once you do it, you want more!  it'll get better.  don't worry about it.

just remember that if you cheat, you're only cheating yourself.  :D  do you really want to do that?

sometimes it's worth it!  don't let your body learn how many calories to expect each day.  with all my binging, i've never hit a plateau.
