Toddler forced to smoke pot

Quote  |  Reply

I stumbled upon a video on cnn.com where a toddler was forced to inhale from a marijuana pipe. This little girl is only 18 month's old and she trys to push the people away from her. She tries to get off the couch.. They literally stick it in her face.. she coughs, and they then give her a sippy cup.. It's horrible!!

I am soo sensitive to harming children and it breaks my heart.. I think these people need to be taken away from her for good.. and she needs a loving home!! I don't know all the details on the story, but if you would like to see the video for yourself so you know what I'm talking about, this is the link:

Am I the only one that is getting upset over this?? Cry

they probably were. it was their video camera.
this couple i used to be friends with had told me about their friends whos 5 year old son can roll a near-perfect joint in like 45 seconds. i told them they should call children's aid society because if he can roll it, hes probably either smoking it or will try smoking it soon. haven't talked to them in a few months. i would call CAS if i knew the parents names. people are disgusting.

There isn't a punishment through our legal system they could receive that would be harsh enough in my view. I seriously think people like this always get off too easily for their actions.

It amazes me how many adults actually know of things like this happening to innocent children. Yet justify doing nothing to stop it for whatever reason. I wish people would take the incentive to act as an adult on behalf of children.Even if it takes effort to gain the knowledge needed to do so.

Fightergirl - the death penalty is legal in most states. It's illegal in California, NY, New Jersey, and a few others.

North Carolina offers about 100 deaths a year.

And you're right. This deserves a terrible sentence.

i didnt know that, but now i do. im canadian and we dont have it here at all.

it deserves a very terrible sentence. anyone seen the movie Hostel? or Saw? im thinking somewhere around there. that may sound perverse, but so is giving drugs to frikkin' toddlers!

There isn't a punishment through our legal system they could receive that would harsh enough in my view.

Child molesters get off really easy. I'm sure these a-holes will too.

you're probably right, and that thought sickens me.

the stat on North Carolina is inaccurate.

I Agree.
Kathygator -

I misread.  It's about 100 since it was relegalized in NC
It's pathetic. I honestly wish there were some way to make it right, but when things like this happen to children.... Even death doesn't seem like a harsh enough sentence. ...Yet... They won't receive death by any stretch of the imagination. It's just wrong on multiple levels.

There must be a way to change what's going on in the world. I may sound quite extreme with my view. But, I honestly believe we need harsher punishments for those who abuse children in any way.

I completely agree!! I feel terribly sorry for all the children who suffer these horrible acts or people who should have more sense! It just breaks my heart! I was telling one of my friends that when my little girl (at 18 months) had croup, in the hospital that put this breathing machine in her face making her inhale the steam off of it to help her breathe. She about had 10 fits about it, and cried, wanting it out of her face.. I cannot imagine how this little girl felt with that nasty mess in her face. It's VERY WRONG!! I'm just thankful they pawned the video camera with the video still in it or they might not've been caught.

That's the only ' bright ' side to the entire thing. Our children are watching everything we do. Even as babies they put their faith in us to protect them. I realize parents can't be there to protect their children at all times, but still yet. You know when you come home to a stoned baby.... Just like you know when your child comes home stoned. I think the parents should still be held responsible. If they never notified the authorities about the situation after it occured.

AMEN enchantingimage!

Those parents should be shot.  No jail time, waste of money....  Just shot.

I can't even watch it. What horrid people!

acid?  ecstasy??  I feel nauseous.

I emailed my "Sociology of Deviant Behavior" teacher with the link to the story on the toddler with marijuana. I wonder what she'll say.

I also owe her a copy of my suicide awareness essay.  I just hope she doesn't ask me to present the information.  It's been far too long since I did one of those speeches.

wow thats awful atleast they got caught

haha I am right. I worked at a children's residential treatment facility for kids who'd been physically/sexually abused. Their abusers never once did more than one year of jail time and the effects of the abuse on those kids is going to affect them for the rest of their lives...

My disgust at the media for plastering this video all over the place to make that poor child a spectable is only eclisped by my outrage at the idiots who knowingly victimized that poor child for their own amusement.

My thoughts are with that child - may she get into protective custody, and get there fast.

i saw this on the news and was so shocked. the news lady didn't have words. you know it is bad when it puts an anchor speechless! you could tell how stupid they were that they pawned the recorder with the tape in it! idiots! i wanted to jump through the tv and kick some **s!!

i hate drugs and i hate what they do to people!! make parents care more about where they will get there next fix instead of feeding or taking care of their own kids! Yell
