Tofu Shirataki Noodles

Well, I got these noodles and will be trying them shortly. I'm a bit nervous after hearing some people absolutely hate these (or get sick), so wish me luck in liking them!

There is a question in this, actually. After I rinse them, I put them in boiling water for 3 minutes?

i've actually never boiled them... i rinse them really really well, pat them dry and then microwave for 2 minutes with whatever sauce i'm using- an "alfredo" from www.hungry-girl.com or a light garlic butter with shrimp.. mmhmmm =)

I have heard good things about these and can never seem to find them near the tofu in my grocery stores.  Am I looking in the wrong spot, where do you find them?

At Whole Foods they're near the meat substitutes, but at my grocery store they're near the produce for some reason. I have no idea why, but maybe you should check there, or just ask someone.

I actually had to go to Whole Foods to get them- they didn't have them at my local grocery stores (Dierberg's and Schnuck's) or Trader Joe's. Good luck!

I drain them, rinse them, throw them into a pot of boiling water, rinse again, put in bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. I love those noodles. I love to make mock chinese food. The other day I bought boca "ground beef" and made my own spaghetti sauce with it. I sprayed a skillet with pam, threw in mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Let those go for a while, then i added a whole pack of the boca (only 120 cals), and then i put in 1/2 cup of hunts tomato sauce. I let all that simmer for a while and then mixed it in with the noodles. So yummy!

Just wondering if anyone has found these in Cananda (Ontario or Quebec preferably) because i've never seen them and haven't found a place online yet that will ship to Canada?
