Such truth..

thanks for the video post!

I found it very triggering, actually. Sure, there are cautionary words, but there's also tons of thinspo pics.

I seriously apologize, I didnt think about the fact that it could be triggering..

kelzo,

With this fallen world come hurts, and often with the hurt comes a lie that carries the pain forward.  We believe the lie, we make walls in our soul, and vows in our hearts......Jesus wants to bring light to the lie and healing to the hurt.

When you are triggered to the disorder, feel deeply the emotion, let the emotion carrie you to the memory where the pain started.  Feel around that memory, listen to what you believe about it, feel the emotion associated with that thought and then....

Invite Jesus into that place, ask him what he has to say about it....He will tell you the truth and the truth will set you free.   When the Son of man sets you free you will be free indeed!

blessings,

Goodbrownies

Nah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be snappy with you. That was rude of me.

I thought it was empowering...who would want to look that way?

Thanks babe, you are fantastic!

This reminded me of Silverchair's "Ana's Song".

wow! that is so inspiring to me. Great post.

It's definitely an inspiring song and message, but I have to agree, the pix are a bit triggering. I'm just a very visual person (heh, ya think?) but the stats were frightening.

the hardest thing to swallow for me was that young girls...the age of 12....restrict...and diet. what are we doing to our kids? i am not having a daughter live with the pain i have to live with now. even though that's probably 10 years from now...i just...can't imagine having a child...say she's fat. and not eat. that bothers me the most.

I was impatient with a girl of only 11 years who had a serious ED. It's really despressing to see someone walking into the room with bunny slippers talking about how fat she is and how bad she feels about eating a PB&J at lunch.
