Lets Do This Together!! (Who's in??) =)
Hey everyone!! If it wasen't for this website today it would probably be one of those "binge" depressing days for me. About 3 weeks ago i managed to lose 5 pounds (I worked EXTRA hard) and in about 2 weeks i gained 10. =( It's the most depressing thing in the world.. im sure some of you know how i feel right now..
But today when i logged into caloriecount (I LOVE YOU!! THANK YOU! :D) I saw how many people are stuggling and trying to fulfil theyre goal just like i am. Before i thought i was all alone.. I think that was probably the reason i binged so much.. I thought no-one cared. But here.. its different.. because of this website thats whats keeping me going today.
You guys INSPIRE me.. :)
I read so many success stories, and i saw in general how many amazing people are on here, it makes me wanna join them.. makes me wanna be a part with them.. (if that makes sence.. xD)
Well first off let me tell you alittle bit about MY goal. I want to go down to 140. Maybe less (If i see that it wont be "too" skinny. I weigh a ridiculously discusting number right now and i CANT WAIT til i see that scale go down.. hehe. Basically i need to lose 25 pounds. REALLY RELLY REALLY lose it. FOR GOOD! If you want you can read my "Intoroduction" story on my page it explains a bit more bout how i started dieting 3 years ago and NEVER fulfiling my goal..
But the reason i posted this topic was because im looking for partners. Im looking for people who would want to lose weight together.. :) I want to do this SO much and need inspiration from you guys.. YOU GUYS DO IT FOR ME! Seriously.. if it wasen't for you id be munching on cookies right now.. (yum..)

I'm a fun person, so we'd think of stuff to do.. Like say make a plan together or like learn how to do something together.. i dont know nothing in my head right now haha but just in general i need BUDDIES! :D

Hi! I'm also a binger, and really want to get that under control and lose a few lbs, anywhere form 5-10 I'm thinking, but the binging is my main problem (I did well for a week and binged pretty bad today
). Anyway, I could use a little motivation to not binge, so maybe if we made it so we had to post daily, that way I would feel really accountable for what I eat, and we can help get each other through the days when we want to binge?

I have been a member of calorie count for ages now...but have nerver really achived my goal (havent really really tried tho must admit!). A lot of it is to do with the fact that my will power is none existant! hehe. I am 23, and weigh 135lbs at 5'0. I havent used the group/forum post before so im hoping this new tactic will give me the motivation to reach my goal of losing 25-30lbs. :) That and the fact that i need to lose at least 20lbs by march next year, as OH and i want to have a family! awww!
So hopefully seeing eveyone else do really well, will motivate me to get where i want to be! (and maybe be as bubbly!)
I totally get where you're coming from. I'm 17 and had lost 5 kgs a year ago. Now its all back (like one of those freakish nightmares). I was even a part of this website but had no idea how to work with it till they made their own toolbar. Its easy to use now and Im hoping to lose 5-10 kgs by Jan. Nothing more than that or Ill be killing myself. I'm 82 kgs right now.
None of my friends are supportive and I even have a couple of them who rub it in. (The fact that I'm over weight).
Hopefully with you guys, I'll be able to discuss stuff :)
Well, one thing I've started with to motivate me is I've kept the last bottle of soda I emptied to remind me that I had THAT much soda in one go. I put it in my room so that every time I feel like munching on something, I happen to glance at the bottle and it reminds me of how many calories that one bottle had. (I had finished it in one evening alone. A 2 litre bottle, mind you!)
Also, instead of doing boring exercises, I dance in my room. Dancing increases my heart rate and I have so much fun, I end up doing it for 2 hours straight!
Then, I eat in a small bowl so that I can have two helpings in it. I used to use one big bowl and take two helpings but this way, I'm consuming less and tricking my mind into thinking I had the same amount.
I also like to finish my meal with fruit. Its sweet and then I don't feel like ice cream or chocolate anymore.
And I agree about the water thing. Most of the time my mind is telling me Im hungry but if I drink water, I feel fine five minutes later. :)
Hey everyone! I am so in! I also have the same problem, I'll diet for a few days and then I start bingeing.... it's horrible. It's so bad now that close ppl around me tell to stop eating cus ive had enough. Well, im 22 (turn 23 in november) 5'2 and weigh 137 lbs. I'm trying to lose about 10 lbs but 15 would be awesome.
I've been on this site for a while and it has helped me a lot! I used to weigh 165 lbs! And it's true, water is SUPER important as our body sometimes mistake hunger for thirst and also please remember never to eat less than 1,200 calories per day... that will only make your metabolism worse.
Helloooo girls!!! =) I think what we should do on here is make a group or something. Like have an exersicing plan and just do stuff together. Have us weigh in every week, and just stuff so we will be motivated through out the days. What do you say? :D

I would love to be in on this too! I've been trying to lose these last 10 lbs for ages too - weekly weigh-ins/ daily check-ins would totally help with accountability :)

i think weekly weigh ins are a good idea... Mondays or Fridays will work for me ![]()
so far so good for me today :) made it to the evening, through work and all that jazz and even motivated myself to go on a nice long run after working 8 hours! :D
I'd love to join as well! I would love to lose 10 lbs, my weight has been steady at 133 for months, so i might look into calorie shifting (not sure how it works) and i'm working out 5 days a week for 45 min and trying to watch my calories, but eating only 1200 cals seems SO HARD, my body wants double! But it's time to practice self-control and obedience :) Here's to a great week!

I would love to join you in losing about 25 pounds. I've been a member of CC for ages, but been 'off the wagon' for a couple of months. I definately need to sort myself out now as i'm feeling really down about being overweight. I think having people to do it with will give me the motivation i need to finally get moving. I'm 20, a university student in England, I have no idea what I weigh right now because i've been avoiding the scales for months!! but i think it's around 145 to 150 pounds, and i'm 5'5. I love exercising in the form of going to the gym, but since leaving my full time job to go to university I can't afford the gym (hence weight gain). I plan to try and start running, but have recently been doing exercise videos (so when i eventually go running i don't make a fool of myself by being out of breath so quickly!!)

Well we are half way through the week...feeling alot more positive to be honest, which is a good thing! hows everyone else doing? I had a slight bad day today with carrot cake (YUM) but a not beating myself up over it, as feel full for the first time all week! LOL! 1200 cal is hard to stick too! :) So best thing to do is just keep going and not get stressed which will lead to more bingeing!
